And I d be looking to become Canadian.

Dude, you have states like California, Hawaii and Florida. Canada had the chance to own some islands in the Caribbean during the 1800's but we foolishly turned them down. Instead, we took Newfoundland from British hands. At least you yanks made some very wise choices during your expansionist years.

Why do people live in cold climates?? Why. It’s insane. :bbrr:
Try living where the temps get past 100 and the humidity is so high you can't breathe when you walk outside. You'll love the cold then! I'm so thankful for the 18 degree weather we're having right now. ^_^

Yes, but I wouldn't be moving for the climate... :D

Its likely cheaper to move from the US to Canada than Canada to the US (Even if the difference is only due to the exchange rate of the USD to the CAD). If it werent for the cold I wouldnt have a problem moving to Canada.

Because it IS cold, I can't do it.... I was not built to even think of living in a place that sees -40 or -50 degree temps. I would LITERALLY die. The coldest I ever experienced was 9F (-12 C) and I said nope. I only went as far "North" as Missouri to feel that and I tapped out. :|

Im a cold wuss. I was built to survive heat more than cold.

Ack! 18? Well its 43 here..... so while you nailed our heat.... I feel bad for you with those winters AND that heat.

I didn't know the purpose of humidity til I went to Alabama in the winter...... bloody knuckles cause I was young and dumb and "hand lotion is girl stuff".

The moment I got home, my knuckles stopped bleeding almost immediately after stepping outside to go home from the airport. I learned that lotion in some places is vital.^_^

Yep, we get the best of both worlds. Extreme heat and cold. What can be better than that?

Our polite and friendly citizens? Our multiculturalism? Our universal healthcare system? Swan7? ;)

The cost of living tends to be more expensive in Canada than in the US, especially the farther up north you go. I live in Alberta and it;s one of the most expensive provinces in the country thanks to the fact that merchants and renters assume everyone here works in the oil fields. At one point a single bedroom apartment costed a minimum of $1,200 and the renters could jack up the prices by hundreds of dollars if they wanted to.

Just yesterday it was -30 C (-22 F). We've been getting a cycle of cold snaps and warmer weather. Heck, I actually walked down to the bar in -20 C (-4 F) just to get a deal on chicken wings. Felt a twinge of guilt that I could walk in that cold for chicken wings but not so much for church.

British Columbia tends to be warmer as it's considered to be Canada's California. It's also more expensive to live in as a result.

Swan of course. :D

Oh I know that it cost more in some ways, but Im speaking from a transition standpoint. Such as buying citizenship to become a Canadian Im sure is cheaper (as Id be paying in USD rather than CAD to US. So say its 3000 Canadian to become Canadian thats about 2500 USD. While if it were 3000 USD to become an American, It would be about 3700 Canadian money.

Ugh..... still way too cold for me. House on fire isn't enough to make me step out into that kind of cold.

It's funny. The people here wonder why I love Michigan so much. I tell them it's because I grew up in Texas. ^_^

I just got a very rude review on my story, and now I feel like crying.
People on the internet can be really cruel just for the sake of being cruel. Some people just like to bring others down.

I'm very sorry to hear... don't listen to these people or even give them a thought in your mind, they aren't worth it.

Aw sorry to hear that. It's a part of this business you'll have to get through. You need tough skin to put your work out there for a review, as they're only doing what you asked them to do by reading and giving a review. Not everyone is going to like it.

Thank you guys. Yeah I don't really have tough skin. :( I mean, it doesn't bother me if people nicely give me advice, but when they just rudely criticize me...

I'm starting to think I should have known better than to publicly share a story I started when I didn't know much about the series. Of course other fans are going to be critical of that. This is the reason why I hesitated for 11 months and 21 episodes before posting the story in the first place.
This person didn't even read my story. They basically called me stupid for not doing my research first. Can I help it if I didn't know much about the series, didn't know there was a place I could research it, and was eager to begin?

People on the internet can either be brutally honest or just plain nasty. Websites like Newgrounds had a huge problem with people leaving abusive reviews, some even telling flash artists to kill themselves if they didn't like their content. What's even more incredible is that Newgrounds' most famous and popular flash artist, Arin Hanson AKA Egoraptor left the website because as he described it, "They will follow your work just to wreck you."

Point is, these kind of nasty reviews happen to the best of artists on the internet. This is why when it comes to art, literature, and music thick skin is essential because you're always taking risks. Sometimes your risks pay off, sometimes they don't. Do not be discouraged because it's impossible to please everyone and not everyone is a sophisticated critic. Sometimes they can be downright cruel just to make themselves feel superior.
