Women are getting more and more open about being picky, yet they are also getting fatter and fatter.

166 pounds is obscene.

I weigh, 160 pounds, and I am quite content, about it. As you can see, in my photo, from when I was the same weight, as now, I'm not "obscene", no, not at all. I am very fit. I remember you posting, about your weight, last summer. You wrote, then, that you were 165 pounds, at 5'7, I think? Do you think, that you are obscene? BMI, it's imperfect, but it's a rudimentary measure. Your BMI, it's about 26, overweight. Mine is 22.

Yeah, yet I still look thin. When I hit 170 I started having some fat in the belly region. So I did the responsible thing and lost that weight.. Wasn't that hard.

Also keep in mind that I was trying to gain weight at that point.

Yet for the average woman to be 5 foot 4, and 166 pounds, that isn't a pretty sight. You can't compare it with men who tend to have naturally more muscle mass.

I understand you're speaking from a position of hurt. You've been hurt by women, but the best thing isn't to try and spread that hurt around. You've inadvertently hurt women here with your words who have done nothing wrong to you. 166 pounds is not "obscene". If that's too much woman for your taste, that's fine, but guys aren't just sharing your preferences. You're making fun of women and making references to climbing mountains and all of that.

I'm not trying to start any trouble or get into a debate. Just asking that you be more understanding and not fight hurt with hurt.

I mean just look at how post tenebras lux is defending women and another poster in this thread said we were being mean. Why is it when women have standards its not a problem but when men do its them being shallow superfical monsters? And lets be honest here men ask for much less from women than women ask from men. Women have a long list of things they need before giving a man even a chance. Men on the other hand want just someone who they can look at and someone they can get along with.

Unhealthy, at risk for metabolic syndrome, perhaps unattractive. Either way I don't think any woman who is 5'4 and 166 pounds thinks she looks her best. Also I think it shows she doesn't care about her body. Which is kind of foolish.

I promise, I'm not trying be a prude or anything. I just had a woman message me and thank me for saying something because they were heavier and it really hurt them what you guys said.

Saying you're not attracted to larger women or short guys is one thing. Saying big women are like mountains and you can become a mountaineer or saying 166 is obscene is beyond just sharing your likes. It's making fun of them and not welcome here.

I wasn't try to make fun of anyone for that comment. Alone 166 is nothing, yet when that's the average that says a lot about this culture and it's willingness to just indulge and not worry about any health consequences.

I hope no one here feels bad for my words.

Personally I don't care too much about weight, as long as they can carry it well. I'm a short man myself and I know women have to overlook that, so I should return the favor when it comes to another's weight.

Yet if we're talking about the general status of shallowness I do think women have the upper hand. And that they're often not self aware of how men can feel about them.
