I am so blessed that the hate group (in real life not here) that is trying to put me down is doing so but with no real success. I am truly blessed to have to go thru this trial. Thy cant win and it makes them hate even more, all I can say is JESUS!!!

hmmm...I think the timing is critical for a teaching on Romans 13 right now because of the elections. Believers need to see God's perspective on government. I'd preach it if I could.

Problem is, American conservatives have this irrational hatred for the government and their religious leaders will keep preaching to resist every time a Democrat takes office.

For a Christian country, they sure don't practice everything they preach.

I'm an American conservative and I don't hate my government nor do my religious leaders teach to "resist". Quite the opposite, they teach to "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's" and to obey the governing body as they are placed there by God for His purpose and ultimate plan.

Don't paint everyone with the same broad brush.

hmm...I should probably clarify. I don't hold to any one party because I believe scripture is clear. we don't obey people in power nor a party. we obey the authority they hold because it comes from God. besides, if you believe scripture then you walk in the comfort of knowing that it doesn't matter who is in power because God is always in control.

American conservatives do not hate our government and matter of fact it is the exact opposite, we love our country and we love how our government was designed to where government played a very small role in our lives and the government did not controlling us. It is liberals who hate our government as they are constantly trying to change it to where our God given rights of freedoms are taken away and change and replaced with government control.

Liberals hate traditional America and Conservatives are trying to conserve our traditional American standard of having very little government in our society.

I do agree what you are saying here, the Christian leadership should be praying for our leaders no matter who they are instead of trying to tear them down but they are human like all of us and sometimes do not realize what they are doing.

People need to start being their OWN leaders. Seriously, because win lose or draw, politics is still the same old crap. It doesn't matter who you support or what you believe in, the end result is still always going to be the same, regardless.

Since you have brothers and sisters in Christ who are self-professed "conservatives" it's always wise not to create discord with them for the sake of unity and love.
