  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Yeah, the boy cried wolf too many times but my fear is that the wolf will actually arrive and the sheep will be eaten before the villagers knew what hit them. With all this absurd political correctness and the UN Security Council having dictatorships in their ranks, I can see this situation being plausible.

I guess we're going to have to wait and see.

That's quite right, good analogy :) I wouldn't confuse sleeping sheep with those who are watchful though ;) That is after all what we are supposed to do, and I think you are doing just that!

Definitely a wait and see thing.

I see we decided to be twelve years old.

Just be thankful I don't have the sense of humor of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

On My Mind: In 15 hours Obama will hand over control of the internet to the United Nations. There are fears brewing that this may be the end to freedom of speech on the internet. The internet will no longer be under the American constitution guaranteeing freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of assembly but instead under the control of the United Nations and a global constitution.

Some are predicting that heavy censorship and regulations are coming. If this is actually true and forums like this one get shut down, I'd just like to say that I love you guys and I wish I could have been part of this community for a much longer time.

This may simply be more right wing paranoia but the Bible Prophecy student in me is seeing this as another means for the Antichrist to gain control over the planet.

That is all.

He's the guy who rocked harder than you when he was five years old!

:mmh: That explains nothing... I'm afraid.

Ooh! Ok! But I still have no idea about that guy. Lol!

OK, here's a more serious answer...

He was a famous composer, musician and child prodigy who made some of the most well known classical music. He composed his first song at age 5. As an adult, he had an alarming fascination with scatological humor.

Rolling Stone - 100 Greatest TV shows of all time.......

1 - Sopranos : Havent seen it so I can't disagree nor agree
2 The Wire : Again same as 1
3 - Breaking Bad : Again, same with 1and 2, however I did see an episode of Better call sal which is supposedly the same tone and connected with BB and I had no interest in the show so..... I will assumingly disagree.
4: Madmen : Like 1-3
5: Seinfeld:......... No.... Seinfeld is NOT funny..... I DO give the guy credit though.... he was some how able to convince many that he is.... so I cant really hate on the guy...... however I CAN hate on his show.... its NO WHERE in the top 100...

skip down to number 85

Okay, Ill give you Seinfeld..... with his almost cult following you are almost at riot level anger if you dont mention him.... so I will let that slide and try to take your list serious.... but.... "The Real World"........ Whats next "Rollingstones 100 most classy celebs" naming a Kardashian or the cast of Jersey Shore?

"Rollingstones 100 most humble people" naming Kanye

Real world....... *tosses magazine in the trash* (It was going there anyway, they send me magazines and Im not even sure why...... I never signed up and Im not being charged so..... I thumb through them when they arrive before shredding the cover (name and address) and tossing the rest. )

Wow.. That's crazy. Breaking bad was good, tbh.. But if I made the list itd look like this:

1. Lost

Then there'd be no others because no other tv show was on THAT level.

I would have thought friends would be higher than Seinfeld.

MASH and Cheers was both better than Seinfeld in my humble opinion but Seinfeld was pretty good.

Also Star Trek should have made the list.

I might be the only one on Earth who finds Seinfeld boring. I just can't get past the over-the-top horrible acting.

Nope, I found the show funny for maybe the first episode or two.... but how many times can you see a goober enter a room all goofy like before it gets old? Kramer made me laugh for a VERY short stint.... that was my "enjoyment" level of Seinfeld viewing. I have seen many episodes (on in the background or others watching it) and it was never funny outside the "introduction" to Kramer..... after that.... simply more of the same

Seinfeld all he ever did is whine in a high pitched nasally voice.... and "that" is what passes as comedy.... :|

I had a friend in high school who thought seinfield was the best tv ever and didnt want me to call her while it was on tv.

I had no idea it was that great, I never bothered watching it lol.

The best thing on tv now is my cat because she likes sitting on it. Sometimes she turns it off so we can look at her instead.

The reason I like Seinfeld, and the genius behind it is that it is basically a show about nothing. And yet, it is chocked full of complex plots, subplots, that might appear separate, but somehow wind together. Arrested Development copies that format to brilliant results.
