The second one I would avoid like the plague. They're Assemblies of God whose mission statement says "We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an enduement of the believer with power for service, the essential, biblical evidence of which is the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance."

I know not everyone believes as I do that the gifts ceased with the apostolic era and I don't deny that God could use the gifts again if He wills it, but I disagree with what passes for gifts in today's Christianity and I certainly disagree with churches and denominations that think the fruit of saving faith or anything alike is the ability to employ any of the gifts.

I am sure there are others in Singles that will have experience of being shunned because they 'couldn't speak tongues' when they were expected to.

Either way, I definitely could not in good conscience recommend that church to someone.

The Elim one is a bit too vague, so I can't really comment on that.

Yeah I am liking the Hamilton one.

I completely forgot they were AOG, I asked about them last week, yes totally agree with you the whole tongues thing is strange, I find it seems to be in a lot of churches, so I tend to over look that.

I don't know about up there but I know down here we're getting a lot of Pentecostal church plants and that church has become synonymous with tongues and gifts but if you're looking for a Charismatic church you're probably going to have to overlook a whole bunch to find one that isn't like that, it would seem.

I don't think there's anything to lose by checking out the Hamilton one, though. Maybe you can ask the pastor(s) there if they have any recommendations of other churches you could check out because you're trying to find one you're comfortable with Hopefully they aren't too prideful and will give you some recommendations, assuming there are any they'd legitimately recommend!

We had a ticket for the Euro one that was probably $90m. We had all but 2 numbers and the numbers we did have were either one higher or one lower than the ones called.

You are so much calmer than Id be about it.

Id rather miss by a mile than come SOOOO close to winning (Well not entirely true, here if you get 5 of 6 you win a mil. but Im talking outside of that) if I were to say have 9 and the number was 34.... way off. Have 9 and they draw 8 or 10, its almost like being given the finger from lady luck.

Almost to say, "Yes, it could have been ANY number...... but I will make it just one number away so it stings more."

I've been day dreaming all day what Id do with 250 mil.

I know that all the people that mean something to me would also be winning the lotto with me. I think Id start a Toro CF world tour.

Go and visit CF members, both current and past members.

Id even buy my very own Toro costume and show up in costume.

My family and friends would be golden. I would buy a nice, but not TOO nice of a house.... Id spend my days fixing it up. Id also have an AWESOME garage that would have room for at least about 10 or 11 cars (I wouldnt likely fill all that space, but a garage isn't a garage without a lift and room to work on the car.)

Id take probably about 10-20 mil and just go completely bat crap insane spending....

After charities, taking care of family, friends, house, cars, shopping insanity...... Id be no worse off than 100 mill left in the bank (probably a lot more but I wouldn't let myself go below that)

Then, Id let the 100 mil work for me for the rest of my life while I helped people and in my free time did mostly..... this.

get a net fixed to two posts and chill.

Id even go visit CFers on the other side of the pond.

While I were there I would stare at those guys with the fuzzy hats that cant speak or move all day.

Aye your choices are very limited up there. Well I hope you find one that works for you. Hamilton looks good so I'd check that out, stay on top of your reading, pray and hopefully you find yourself where you need to be I think that's all anyone can do and it's what I've been doing

Im not suffering from headaches...... of course I tend to be more of a carrier of the stress that causes headaches so..... as a carrier I do not suffer.
