CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dunno why... but I've been thinking about old friends a lot lately. People from high school who I haven't seen in forever, and some of the friends who I had when I first became a Christian. Maybe I'm just realizing that I'm getting old, and wondering if it would be worth seeing some of them again. My Christian friends I think I'd like to see again (they've all moved out of state). Old high school friends and acquaintances... I'm not as sure. Some of them, but not all.

That's the trouble with HS reunions. You have to take the awkward acquaintances with the your old friends too.
Sometimes it's fun to see how the people you would rather not see at all, have changed enough that it's great to create a new memory of them.

It's funny you should say that because today I was having a good clear out on my original Facebook account that I eventually stopped using because I added hundreds of people for Facebook games and it was a nightmare to get rid of them.
Anyway, I plan to start using it again and saw I had friend requests from a bunch of people I went to school with and part of me thought it'd be cool to catch up but another part of me just thought otherwise because I'm nothing at all like I was in school.
