What's on your mind?

I think I need to find a new church... been having a not-so great go at church the last little while, nothing is really coming from going there... not being fed really by the services, not connecting with anyone. Only reason I'm going is because I feel somewhat attached to it now because I've been going since May or so, and it's the most convenient church to access. Hardly any young people, mostly all old people who I can't connect with. Only young person I really connected to and saw Christ's love in has recently moved away.

I'm so discouraged. I'm sitting here asking myself why, if God wants me to go to church and love my neighbor and do his will, am I not able to do it? Like I suppose I do it on some level, but nowhere even close to what scripture paints the image of the church as. Why can't I find a group of people who are as zealous as I am for his will, who want to love one another and be one in their callings and goings in life, who want to be one in mind, spirit, etc... just feeling awful about it all.

Most my coworkers have been calling in sick all week thanks to snow and icy roads. The second day, there was a tally of like 75 call outs. it was nuts.

Well I would have made 76..... but then I have an excuse..... in all my 37 years...... I can count on one hand how often I have had to drive in it...... and zero of those times were heavy ice and snow. People that live where its common should be used to it by now.

I know the feeling all too well. My dad and I went to a church not yesterday but last Sunday, and decided not to go there again because of their core message was off. They were saying the NT is the A-Z of the Bible, so they don't concentrate on the OT as much at all. Both my dad and I have a problem with that because His Word is not NT only.
