CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I survived a full-mooned Friday the Thirteenth shift at walmart.
I didn't. Sure enough, I was on my way out of the Jamaican bar I frequent after work on Friday nights and a familiar hockey-masked face appeared in the parking lot and accosted me. I tried to fist-fight the guy with all heart but I fear despite my skill Jason's natural invincibility wore me out and I eventually lost. .... And now my ghost is typing this. =P
(My coworker Mayella became rather superstitious about this day, though. She did in fact suffer a string of bad luck today ranging anywhere from mildly annoying in the moment to being pulled over by the cops, getting an expensive ticket, and being late to work because of it.)

Currently I am manually editing customs forms since they won't show Japanese characters--I find that so odd but it's true and DHL won't like a lot of blank spaces for the info. Kind of odd since I was upset being late on the shipment then this happened and I'd have been late regardless.

Thank you everyone for your condolences. I was her only granddaughter so it's very difficult. We had a close bond.
I'm glad my mom made me hug and kiss her goodbye that morning. She had entirely slept through Monday night and all of Tuesday. My mom played worship music on her phone and prayed over grandma and read the Bible to her so that she would be comfortable and go peacefully.
Someone also told me that sometimes, the person who is passing will wait until a certain person isn't there. Maybe she knew it would be too difficult for me to be there when it happened.

I hope the coughing stops. That is sometimes the most irritating thing about being sick, the cough.I hear you. I'm still having that after-cold irritation. Coughing though there's really nothing to be coughing from.

I'm legitimately shocked. There was an article on Yahoo about a trinket found in Poland that might be connected to Anne Frank. Just reading the comments, I couldn't believe how many people simply believe that the Holocaust never happened or was a lie created by the Jews to gain sympathy. Many more think that Anne Frank herself wasn't real or that her diary is a fraud.
