Im no profession but I think the best way is make little life style changes over "dieting"
I cut sodas (I had some yesterday, but, that aside its been weeks without. Thank God for green tea and sugar

)
Diets only change your weight until you return to old habits.
It takes longer, but it sticks and is easier cause its small changes.
Slowly its not as hard to make those changes.... one less soda a day... etc.
Or like I have done.
Instead of sodas - Green tea
Instead of potato chips - Steamed garlic potatoes (Yes microwave ) Its still not "healthy" but it fills me up with less damage to my body than 10 servings of potato chips.
1 slice of cheese instead of 3 - now to no cheese (Im a cheese LOVER. I have kicked my every day cheese and dr pepper habit, something I thought impossible before)
All by taking it slow and not forcing change on myself at the level I want to be.
If I REALLY want something. I have it, but I find myself wanting those things less. (Whether I lose the taste for it or I just dont want to undo the work.... not sure.)
Thank you, I really did think it would be harder to kick soda..... I still would like to have one.... but slow changes.
You can do it, just cut back slowly. It sounds cliche but truly if I can...... anyone can. I've been drinking nothing but sodas for almost 30 years..... Im still addicted to sugar but green tea is helping me slowly drop the dose of even that. I choose how much sugar, not the can.
