I don't think stifling discussion like this is very productive.

I also don't think AV1611VET's doomsday beliefs are very healthy or sane.

In any case, talking about it is a good way of learning about each other and developing your own way of thinking, no matter if you agree or disagree with what the other person is saying.

With all of that being said, holy [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. What a wonderful, all-powerful, all-merciful god you believe in there.

Ever thought that maybe there is a way to avoid such absurd judgement?

Many of those diseases I mentioned are being worked on by thousands of smart individuals who look for a cure. I doubt you are.

This kind of "we dun bad so god be punishing, no reason to fight it" mentality is what brought forth the Dark Ages. Let's not regress to that level.

AIDS is God's judgement on homosexuals.

Heterosexuals that denied this ended up getting the same thing.

-_- if it were intended as such, transmission from lesbian to lesbian wouldn't be more difficult than between heterosexuals. Furthermore, plenty of people that did think it was divine judgement got infected through blood transfusions. Babies are born with HIV. Here's a kicker, though: Some people are born with natural immunity to the virus and thus will never die from it, and they aren't all heterosexuals.

The reason why it spread amongst homosexual male populations so quickly is due to the stigma behind homosexuality preventing them from maintaining relationships with just a few sexual partners (as is more of the norm today in Western nations), thus they had more sexual partners which of course increases the risk of any sexually transmitted disease.

Also, when I look at the timeline for early AIDS diagnosis, I see mostly heterosexual people.

Nah. I could make just about any plant a "bonsai" if I wanted to, it's just a trimming technique that makes them stay small. They'd become full sized trees if left on their own. Humans aren't much different than that and psychology is pretty much as predictable as pheromone reactions in basic creatures.

Are they all judgement? What are the sick people being judged for? To what end?

It's easy to claim things about matters that don't affect you, but what if you accidentally stepped on a needle somewhere that was contaminated with HIV... would you be judged in that case?

Help me understand how an ailment that has a predictable cause, way of prevention, way of distribution or control, etc. is in any way affected by a higher power.

And when the time comes, it will be cancer, AIDS, an accident, whatever ... compliments of a sin-cursed universe.I believe I already addressed that.

I'll die of a disease that was initially meant for those engaging in beastiality and homosexuality.God sent it, then He gave us doctors to observe it.

I have coronary artery disease and underwent triple bypass surgery. I brought it on myself through ignorance of good health practices. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge". God made our bodies, and revealed how to care for them. We have chosen to ignore this knowledge or withhold it from ourselves. God fashioned the consequences of this folly to wake us up to his way of living. We have decided to seek cures instead of prevention. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" is still true. While I am grateful for he cure I would strongly recommend prevention.

The Jews call themselves Israeli's, not Israelites.

The modern day descendants of ancient Israel are the Anglo-Saxon democracies, and of course the Jews. Hitler waged war on all of those, including Russia, whose White Russian citizenry are descendants of the tribe of Benjamin along with their kindred people of Norway. So indeed God used gentile Germany, Italy, and Japan as his "rod of anger" against Israel.

There is very little true hunger in Christian nations. We often conflate the well-fed west and the poorly fed peoples in third-world countries, losing sight of the fact most world hunger is unnecessary, or self-inflicted.
