  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What type of craft project are you working on now?

I have so many unfinished cross stitch projects, I'll need to live longer than Methuselah to get them all done. :D

I'm also making greetings cards. I haven't started my Easter cards yet, but no doubt I'll have to soon.

Right now I am working on a cover for my birdcage so I can put away the tablecloth and clothespin set-up I've been using so far. I saw a cape looking velour style of birdcage cover on the internet and decided I'd go for a much simpler style that can be thrown in the washer and dryer and won't look too tattered if my bird decides to chew it up.

I have found a old knitting pattern book from my Mom. The book is Red Heart Sweater book from 1955. I have found a great Twin sweater set inside. I have the pullover done. I am currently working on the sweater. I have back, two fronts, bands, collar and one sleeve done! I am doing it in Red Heart Super Saver white and monet.

I am working on a knitted hemp purse. I've finished the purse part, now I'm sewing the lining it. A lady I used to go to church with gave me some old vintage paisley fabric that has been in her attic for 30 years, and it's going to look really neat inside the purse. I'm also making a macrame guitar strap for my husband.

I haven't tried knitting socks yet, but it sounds like fun... anyone have any good patterns?

I have a few things going. But am mostly working on a Cross Stitch Baby Birth Sampler for my friends in Germany. I am still not doing it as much as I used to. Am still trying to get in some kind of rhythm of doing all kinds of necessary stuff, after having our last addition to the family.

GOD BLESS
