Last three years, my life has been portrayed to me as a unproductive, and most disgusting degeneration after a year of salvation. I do not know how it came to be...but I am lost.
I do not know how to express this emotion and sadness but I feel that I need to try now and reach out to others for advise since I will no longer consult with the bible...but instead, always "inconsistent and never engaging."
Yes, my life's been very inconsistent as to what I must do...such as following Christ. I feel that because of this, my entire life is flipping upside down with multiple depression..as I cannot controll my own life nor give it to Christ for guidance.

What do I do?

My mother's name is Young Soon Kim.. Just one more letter and I'd have to call her to tell her:

Don't give up on scripture. The bible is the only dependable way of obtaining God's want and will for your life. In his scriptures he tells us that what you are going thru is normal. That life doesn't get easier once we become "Christian." It gets harder, because we were once apart of this world, and now we have turned against it, and all of the evil in it. So in turn the ways of this world are turned against us.

The only real way to endure this persecution, and following depression is to suffer with like minded people (Other christians) This is where your local church, and places like this come in. Along with your steady efforts to work on your relationship with God we also must work on relationships with our Brothers and sisters in Jesus. In doing so we set out to help others and in turn God helps us with our own feelings of suffering and depression..

I know in your culture it is not polite to present, or hand over something "Broken" But this is exactly what Jesus wants.. He and his church are not a place for the "well" but for the sinful and the sick.. Your life being "Depressed and upside down" is exactly how we are supposed to present ourselves to him. Let go the Idea that you have to be in full control of your life in order to present it to Jesus.. He tells us even our Best efforts at living a good live are dirt rags, or not good enough.. It is with a broken and humble heart that we are to approach Jesus.. It sounds like you are ready to goto him.. So, do so in prayer tell him you are willing to give him everything, and then do so.. do it at church, when there is a need fill it. If someone needs a ride to church, or someone needs help cleaning the kitchen or bathrooms, or whatever or where ever there is a need fill it.. Do this and you will see change.

Oh, and again don't give up on your bible. Keep reading it!

An-ya-ga-say-o!

You are young and searching the world without the ability to make a commitment at this time. This is normal for most everyone your age. You really don't know what your needs are going to be because you haven't tasted enough of the world yet to have any idea.

Be patient and know JESUS will be there waiting on you.
In GOD'S WORD it says:

" TEACH THEM RIGHT WHILE THEY ARE YOUNG, THEY WILL VEER, BUT THEY SHALL RETURN TO THEIR TEACHING "

So you see that GOD knows and understands our ways.

Just don't wait any longer than you have to but only return when you are ready to devote your WHOLE life to GOD and seek HIS WILL in all your decisions. Then is when your life will have real meaning.

ALWAYS REMEMBER:

JESUS IS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AT!!! EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T SEE HIM!!!

YoungJoonKim, start getting involved in your church, and with other Christians. If you stop going and stop contact with Christians, it will make things worse. Prayer and bible-reading are good, but sometimes we simply need the encouragement and advice of good Christian friends.

Here's some scriptures that you might like -

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psa 147:3 NIV)

“The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” (Psa 103:8 NIV)

God's thoughts toward us are precious and as innumerable as the sand of the sea (Psalm 139:17, 18)

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isa 40:31)

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:” (Eph 1;17)

Perhaps you could locate some scriptures that are meaningful to you and focus on those for a while. Or check out II Sam 30 when things were really against David and what actions he took.

The Apostle Peter advises us to add virtue to our faith (2 Peter 1:5). Virtue includes good intentions, good habits and moral excellence.

Most Christians have good intentions, but their lack of discipline leads them into trouble. A Christian who regularly prays, reads the Bible each morning and evening and meets with other Christians on a regular basis for Christian fellowship (sharing in the Lord's work) will develop moral excellence.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. You would be wise to add virtue to your faith.

Thank you for that advise...as well as so many others here...
Continued advise would be thankful also.

What do I do?

Well, you have to give your life to Christ for guidance, and that guidance comes from Christ living in your heart and Scripture.

You have a choice before you, either do not follow Christ, or follow Christ.

Feeling bad about sins is good. You may overblow your own sins. Be wary of that. That is a common mistake. Try to believe Jesus, that He made you and knows you better then you do.

There is nothing pretty about people if you look instead the flesh and guts and such... but then again, when you see how it all works together, it is a beautiful thing. An amazing thing.

God made you, warts and all, and He surely forgives willingly any repentant sinner.

If there are sins standing in the road between you and God, understand you have a choice to make: sins or God?

But, if you are a Christian and decide these sins... then you may very well remain a Christian... but you will have to go through great testing.

This said, remember to judge wisely and seek to do good. Some things people think are "sin" are not. Some things clearly are. Study the Bible, not what people say, to be sure.

Follow your conscience and build it up, strengthen it, by good deeds done in secret so your Heavenly Father will reward you.
