You are adding A LOT of words to Gods words. Just curious why you would call yourself an SDA if you do not belong to an SDA church, you do not believe in the SDA required beliefs. Were you baptized by the SDA church? Did you take the baptism oath about Sabbath? Just because a parent may of been SDA does not mean you automatically are. It’s something you have to agree to., By saying you agree to the SDA beliefs when you don’t isn’t that not being truthful? This is why the SDA has the fundamental 28 beliefs, so we are united as a church. When we have some who claims one but really isn’t God defined this as breaking His 9th commandment. Something I hope you consider in prayer.
Sister, you assume I am misrepresenting God's movement with our church as the Jews did with Jesus. All they had to do was check to see if Jesus was telling the truth instead of assuming that He was lying. By the way, Jesus did not need the permission of the Pharisees or the Sadducees to tell the truth.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was MORNING—the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)

While I do not disagree with your post here, the point remains is that he does self-identify as SDA. My previous post remains valid regarding Moses not keeping the SDA Sabbath. It was quite impossible for Moses to have observed the Sabbath according to your denomination.
Brother, you have discovered a "human tradition" adapted by the SDA church that God's word opposes with the manna story that shows how Moses kept the Sabbath from morning to morning. According to how God capped the end of the first day in a "morning". The Jews were wrong in many things that we must correct by studying the written word of God and not assume they are right because the "human tradition" is with us for so long. They are wrong in defining a day of the week based on how God taught them to remember the Sabbath in Israel. A Sabbath that in Israel is not a weekday like in Eden.

You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’ But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” (Mark 7:8-13 NIV)

Thank you for your reply. I have repeatedly been ignored by various SDA posters here at CF for pointing out to them their fallacy in subjecting themselves to human tradition in lieu of keeping the Sabbath as given in the Bible.

This poster is not an SDA and not sure why he is calling himself one. Whatever is discussed between the two of you has nothing to do with the SDA beliefs. If you want to know what the SDA believe in they are found here What do Seventh Day Adventists Really Believe?, and for the record, Sabbath is not a human tradition, its found in God's commandment #4. Exodus 20 8-11

Do you obey all of God's Sabbath commandments or only just one?

That seems like a silly question. I addressed the one because its the only commandment that seems to come up over and over. It’s late where I’m at so I can comment more later.

This post makes no sense. What Sabbath do you think Moses kept or the Jews that have been keeping it for 4000 years that is different to the Sabbath SDA's keep? SDA's keep exactly the same Sabbath.

This is hardly a silly question. The only Sabbath commandment that I am aware that SDAs profess to keep is the fourth of the ten. As for keeping the seventh year as a Sabbath to God, that is completely ignored. As for kindling fires (or collecting fuel for fires) on the Sabbath that is completely ignored. As for any of the specified Sabbath Days, they are completely ignored. Why is that?

As I noted in the prior two posts to this, the SDAs have never kept a Sabbath year or a year of Jubilee. If I am mistaken, please correct me.

When did you last keep the Sabbath year, or the year of Jubilee?

What does this have to do with how you keep the seventh day sabbath? What do Jubilees have to do with the OP?

SDA's keep exactly the same Sabbath.
Brother, it is written! For Moses, the point when the day before ends and the Sabbath begins is "morning".

However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. (Exodus 16:20 NIV)

When it lasts a day, it spoils in the "morning" but when it lasts two days it doesn't spoil in the "morning". Revealed is "morning" as the point in time that ends the day before and begins the Sabbath.

So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it. “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a sabbath to the Lord. You will not find any of it on the ground today. Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.” (Exodus 16:24-26 NIV)

Nonsense....

Leviticus 23:32 It shall be to you a sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even to even, shall you celebrate your sabbath.

You do know that God's 4th commandment seventh day Sabbath is not a Jubilee right or an annual sabbath?

Who kindles fires on the Sabbath? - Yep no one.

Brother, that's only true in Israel, but not in Eden, where the first Sabbath was morning to morning as Moses kept the Sabbath before God taught Israel how to remember the Eden-Sabbath in Israel.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was MORNING—the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)

Not really. Who are God's Israel? God's Israel are all those who believe and follow Gods' Word according to the scriptures. What I find amazing is you continually quote Genesis 1:3-5 while ignoring it's context to Genesis 1:1-2 and the Hebrew word meanings in Genesis 1:3-5 that show that "darkness" comes before the light. Even in Genesis 1:5 .... And the evening and the morning were the first day. Goodness it is all their right in front of you.

  • Genesis 1:1-5, [1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2], And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters. [3], And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. [4], And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. [5], And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

It has everything to do with the OP. People seem to want to think that God only has Saturday as THE SABBATH. They fail to recognize that God also commanded the Sabbath year, the year of Jubilee, as well as other specific Sabbaths other than Saturday. Which, if any, of God's Sabbaths, did Moses keep? If Moses kept these Sabbaths, do you?
