Sacred, answer your own question. You have chosen to be pagan: a very individualistic choice given that it goes against the cultural norm -- I would assume therefore that it took thought for your choice, rather than you simply being raised pagan without question. So why do you believe Paganism is superior (aka why did you choose paganism)??? It's a rhetorical question. My point is that you also compared and decided one path was superior. How is it so confusing for you to note others doing likewise?

I don't necessarily think Paganism is better. Paganism is an extremely broad term that is comprised of all religions other than the three Abrahamic ones. Personally I find generally that the Abrahamic religions are intolerant and very privy to fundamentalism. That being said there are tons of people out there who adhere to one of those paths that are great people. So do I think Paganism is superior? Thats so very hard to say because Paganism is so diverse and varied. Do I think my path is the best for me? Of course it is, but there is more than one way to the divine. My path is not the only path and I don't mistake it as such.

But the question still stands. Why is one religions superior to another in your opinion. "Your" meaning anyone who chooses to respond to this thread.

the only way is by comparisons
just compare between relegions with unbiased and open mind , ask the questions and compare the answers , then take your step for decide which of relegions is more reliable and more logical

But is it possible to have a truly unbiased and open mind?

As I said in the original thread,

I believe my religion is the true faith. But I do not adhere to any illusions about how belonging to a truer faith will make you any more blessed, any more successful than the other guy, or make your tribe or nation more powerful or successful than that of the infidels. Some Christians, Christian Judaism/Israel-fans, and even a very few Jews seem to believe so, and engage in quite a bit of heavy-handed historical revisionism to support their point.

Different religions suit different people and so what makes them 'better' is always subjective.

for me what makes a religion 'better' is firstly the way in which it treats nonbelievers and secondly, the way it treats it's own believers. Any element of superiority and persecution is a big negative.
Likewise excessive behavioral and emotional constraints placed upon the user without objective reason. (i.e Don't Kill makes sense. Don't Shave is archaic.)

In another thread a member stated that Judaism is superior to Islam. Why?

And further more, what makes one religion better than another in your opinion?

for me as a muslim, islam is superior to all others. and comparsion among others do not matter. because ultimately, islam would earn the person eternity in heaven. this life and all wrong religions along with it would someday vanish and they would not count.

my response is overwhelmed by the fact that there will be eternity in heaven and hell. so those 60 years we spend on eath dont matter really unless a person submit and worship God the correct way (i.e. islam)

Thank you for your response. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to the conclusion that Islam is the correct religion out of all the religions in the world?

Replace Islam with Christian and you have my answer.

i did not study world religions. i was born a muslim. i was raised a muslim. i accept that Quran is miraculous. that's all. Quran being from God is clear enough, for me personally, that i do not need to seek other religions.

My religion is inferior to FSMism because they have beer volcanoes and stripper factories. We just can't beat that.

That's completely true. The best I've got to hope for is the City of Pyramids and eternal union with Nuit. That just can't match beer volcanoes and stripper factories.

Though, I suppose that one part of the City of Pyramids etc. would have to be beer volcanoes and stripper factories, theoretically.

My religion isn't better than anyone else's. Mine just doesn't tell other people they're wrong.
