  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Don't you mean Baba O'Riley?

I'm partial to the Quadrophenia album. The Real Me, The Punk and the Godfather, I'm One, 5:15 and especially Love Reign O'er Me. Yes, I am a sucker for a good old rock love song. :)

Me too Arwen. When I was 12 I bought a used tape of Quadrophenia. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I love that album. My favorite might be "Love, Reign O'er Me". But I dont know, I never really paid attention to the names of the songs.
Besides that album, I love "Who Are You," "My Generation," "Pinball Wizard" "Substitute" "Sparks" but most of all "Wont Get Fooled Again"

"We won't get fooled again". I really want to get the "Who's Next" album. I was listening to some Who songs on the wide area network at work, and I didn't realize they have so many songs in commercials. "Overture" from Tommy is played on some commercial, I think for allergies. "Happy Jack" From the H2 Hummer commericias is a Who song.

I like the Who because they are a little "artsy fartsy". I personally don't care for alot of the 70s music that is just straight-ahead rock, the Who know how to rock, but they add an artistic, avant-garde element to it. That's probably because of Pete Townsend.
