What do you believe are some of the basic requirements? Do some or all muslims go to Heaven, do some or all Jews get into heave, do some or all Christians get into Heaven...etc.

I ask this for those of you coming from a Christian perspective because it is obvious that those in religions other than Christianity would believe they were going to Heaven.

The way I see it is that you have accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and sincerely love him for it. That's the gist of it anyway.

If heaven exists at all, I think everyone that does good in life because they are compassionate will go to heaven.
People that don't do things to hurt others should go. I think that all the people that are kissing ass to go to heaven, the preachy ones that don't follow what they preach and just do good things for the sole reason of getting into heaven and not really because they care about anyone else should actually go straight to hell.

I don't think that heaven, if it exists will be for christians only just because they believed in Jesus...that just sounds a bit ridiculous to me. What kind of god would turn away a really good budist (that in his/her life did amazing selfless deeds because they cared about others, and accept a child molesting, adulterer that steals just because he/she is a christian)

Note, these are just hypothetical examples above, I dont think that all xians are child molesters or thieves, or that all budists are selfless, it's just an example.

But that's my take on heaven if it exists.

According to Jesus he that keepth my commandments is he that loveth me.

I believe some or all people will go to heaven not just christians.

The bible does not say that Jesus is the saviour of christians.
It does say...
Jesus is the saviour of the world, especially them that believe.

Matt 25:31 and following indicates all who love their neighbor receive eternal life with God. Those who do not do not. Prov 11:19 indicates the same thing.
Prov 11:19

19 The truly righteous man attains life,
but he who pursues evil goes to his death.

If I believe and accept that if Christ through His grace came to this earth to die in my place for my sins, and that there is no other way then I believe that I will be saved and go to Heaven.

"For God so love the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3:16-18:amen:

Congratulations for thinking exactly what Satan wants you to think. When will this mainstream madness end? (No answering necessary--it's in the Bible. I was asking that question rhetorically. If that's even the appropriate word and spelling for this situation. I'm too tired right now to check.)

I guess God plays favorites.
..or perhaps jesus is no more or less the son of god than anyone else is.

By only quoting part of my post you have just proved how easy it is to misrepresent the context of scripture. If we are going to quote other peoples words or quote scripture lets keep it in the context that it was originally intended.:preach:

As it turns out, all have sinned and rebelled against God. Jesus said that the simple act of calling your brother a fool can get you into hell. People certainly can do worse. The verdict for rebellion against any of God's ten commandments is eternal punishment in hell, but luckily, he sent his one and only son to die for us and act as a sacrifice for our sins. The only way to get into heaven is to take this perfect gift he's given us.

Uh?!
Just to give but one example to the contrary, I'm a heathen (specifically, an Asatruar) and do not take it for granted at all that I will go to whatever kind of "heaven" after death.
I do hope that I might end up in Valhalla, but comparing that to the christian heaven is... at least daring. :D

heaven is a myth used to denote the spiritual reign of God. the original Greek word (ouranos) means 'sky' and thus to mix 'heaven' and spirituality is either to use 'heaven' metaphorically or else it is nonsensical. heaven is not a place. we cannot go and visit God in the sky. Jesus didn't sprout wings and float up into the sky on ascension day. He isn't going to fly down for a second coming. heaven is not where we go when we die. there is no way to get 'into heaven' unless we are simply talking about taking a space flight to the moon. as a metaphor, 'heaven' is what comes to us when we live in the reign of God, the 'kingdom of heaven' that Jesus announced.

on earth as it is in heaven...

Gospel of Thomas, Nag Hammadi:113.

His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?"

Jesus said to them, "It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, 'Look, here!' or 'Look, there!' Rather, the Father's kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it."

tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...

If you're a good person and try to help others, without doing wrong, then you'll go to heaven. God made everyone, and perhaps there is no "right path". As long as you know that God is there, and you serve him in your own way, then I think you'll get to heaven. If of course there is a heaven. We all have a time to repent of our sins, so if we do this, we will be accepted to live with God for eternity. I think Jews and Muslims will go to heaven if they follow the teachings of their respective religions; religion is a way by which a person can become closer to God, and as long as we are close to God in some way, I think we can't be turned away.

Of course, I'm Christian and I believe in Jesus, so I'm doing well... :D
But believing in him alone shouldn't be enough... if you believe in Jesus, but dont do the right thing then you're not gonna get very far. What's that passage in the Bible all about "without faith you're nothing" or something like that (sorry that's not very eloquently put...)
Going through the motions isnt enough in my opinion...
