The meaning makes more sense to me.
Whether or not it makes more sense isn't the issue; it's about what the Greek says.
I'm going to need that book. post a link to it.
It's "The New Greek/English interlinear NT" and I got it from Amazon.
Sorry, but I'm not going to search for it for you.
It is, if you are not distinguishable from a woman.
I AM a woman - I would have thought my other replies made that obvious.
And it's only your opinion that "not being distinguishable from a man/woman" is a sin.
Quote me the verses so that we can end this.
We're not going to be able to "end this" because you seem to be of the opinion that every word of Scripture is applicable to us today and is a command for today.
There were some studies made.
A very vague answer.
What studies, and where are the Scripture verses which teach this?
It matters because, you have to understand how nature works.
Why?
The exterior is led by the interior. Whatever happens outside, is already happening on the inside.
So if a woman has short hair it means that, internally, she is already behaving in a certain way?
What nonsense.
To each their own.
Oh, so people can do what they think best, or what they believe to be right?
So it isn't a matter of Scripture.
It's the radical change from long to short that is problematic. People with long do not make a sudden jump from long to short.
So you've questioned every woman in the world to discover their preferences?
Whoever initiates the divorces takes on the entire blame in God's eyes. The marriage is a sacred vow. You break it, the sin is yours.
But you said that every bad decision that a woman makes, society blames the man.
If a woman is corrupted into thinking the grass is always greener, it is a very big problem. Which is what is happening. A man rarely is corrupted into this thinking, but women fall for it.
A massive generalisation.
And why should wanting to have short hair mean that a woman thinks the grass is always greener?
On abortion is not that simple. A woman cannot give life without the man.
GOD gives life, not the woman.
Dogs can't think,
How do you know?
If a dog thinks it is being attacked, it will fight back. If a dog thinks that someone is threatening its puppies, it will protect them.
If a dog thinks, or realises, that its master has left it, it will pine. There have been stories of dogs sitting on their masters' graves until they died.

Besides, I was talking about the order of creation, not whether or not a dog is capable of thinking/speaking.
You are refuting the hierarchy of God?
There is no "hierarchy".
When people spoke to Jesus about divorce (which in those days was easy and was always done by the man), Jesus pointed out that God made both men and women, in his own image.

It does, it is vanity. What you do in front of others, and for others to take notice of you, is vanity.
Where is your evidence that they do it to impress others or get others to think well of them?
Yes, but they aren't a couple anymore. And since this liberation came, women are now alone, not by choice, and have multiple failed relationships. You picked what suited you.
That answer doesn't make sense.
I said that if a couple decide not to have children, that is between them and God.
It's not for society, nor other Christians, to judge.

It's sin, that's why.
No, it isn't.
I am talking about everything related to the reproductive system.
You shouldn't be; you should be talking about hair.
That is the subject of this thread.
To each his own.
Exactly.
So it's not a matter of Scripture, sin or divine command
I would tell you more about Samson's life pertaining to mine, but you won;'t know what to do with it.
Not that you're judgemental at all.
You have no idea.
It's well-groomed, and not groomed. Women are well-groomed. Groomed would mean just a wash and a comb.
Some are.
And that's what I do with my hair every day - wash and then comb.

I told specifically to give a list of thugs you misunderstand to quote from the scripture. Ignored that, and also ignored one of the abominations, which yourself said it was not.

I would like the list. And stop attacking through the cracks.

Whether or not it makes more sense isn't the issue; it's about what the Greek says.
I'll research the word again, and come back.
It's "The New Greek/English interlinear NT" and I got it from Amazon.
Sorry, but I'm not going to search for it for you.
It is called showing the same courtesy. someone may have taught you this.
I AM a woman - I would have thought my other replies made that obvious.
And it's only your opinion that "not being distinguishable from a man/woman" is a sin.
It does. You assumed otherwise.

Besides, this behavior of yours is typical to other liberal Christian women I've met. But, it will not help you. The anger will grow, and you won't be able to control it.
We're not going to be able to "end this" because you seem to be of the opinion that every word of Scripture is applicable to us today and is a command for today.
If you did quoted them, this would end. The way you wrote replies, imply my writings were never in the bible in the first place. Not applicable does not mean they don't exist. And who exactly tells you what is and what isn't applicable? Where is that reply about homosexuality (i believe i wrote to you, and ignored it for your benefit).
A very vague answer.
What studies, and where are the Scripture verses which teach this?
You are incapable of providing a link to a book, accuse of not searching for me, and you want a list of studies? As if you can't find them? No, you do not want to find them.

Eventually, nature will force you.
So if a woman has short hair it means that, internally, she is already behaving in a certain way?
What nonsense.
You ignored the other replies. It is a drastic change in the hair. Long -> short.

I understand you are being dense on purpose.
Oh, so people can do what they think best, or what they believe to be right?
So it isn't a matter of Scripture.
If you want salvation, you can do whatever you want. If you want to walk with Christ, you have to bear the same He did.
I don't what is best, I do what scripture tells. The fact that you are basing your life on applicable teachings of the bible, to me it's just the minimal effort towards salvation. Have your cake and eat it too.

So you've questioned every woman in the world to discover their preferences?
It's nature, and it's biology. What is happening today is a construct of the times, it does not resemble God.
But you said that every bad decision that a woman makes, society blames the man.
It does. The internet is highly filtered against any real posts of women. AI is doing his job at circling the truth, institutions are directed into giving women free passes.

I followed it for several years. They take peace-mail to appear transparent.
A massive generalisation.
And why should wanting to have short hair mean that a woman thinks the grass is always greener?
Because it's a trend. I do something, place on the internet, a few hundreds will try it. If successful, or satisfying, a few thousands will try it, and so on. Short hair didn't exist until the recent years. If it had been something worthwhile it would have existed since the dawn of time.
GOD gives life, not the woman.
Perhaps I was not clear: give birth. I'll try to be explicit with you.
How do you know?
If a dog thinks it is being attacked, it will fight back. If a dog thinks that someone is threatening its puppies, it will protect them.
If a dog thinks, or realises, that its master has left it, it will pine. There have been stories of dogs sitting on their masters' graves until they died.
A dog does things based on instinct, not thinking. Protection of the cubs is a maternal instinct, existing in all female specifies. Whatever he does, out of his own nature, is taught by man.

I know of the famous Japanese story, as well as other reports. It's a process of grief. Even cats to do it.
Besides, I was talking about the order of creation, not whether or not a dog is capable of thinking/speaking.
A dog is not really a creation. It's wild animal that has been domesticated. It is a construct of man. As with everything else, man saw opportunity, and man took it.
There is no "hierarchy".
When people spoke to Jesus about divorce (which in those days was easy and was always done by the man), Jesus pointed out that God made both men and women, in his own image.
Here, 1 Corinthians 11:3 - refute this. And refute this as well, 1 Corinthians 11:5-6.

Then refute the law of marriage - you'll like it, it's in the "new" law.
Where is your evidence that they do it to impress others or get others to think well of them?
I went to gym more than once. Stopped going because people started to take pictures of themselves, and not working out. They didn't care about health, they went as a means to showcase their passion for health. Taking all sorts of chemicals, and some socialized. Women heads turned, men heads turned, one trying to impress the other. Ungodly behaviors of modern times.
That answer doesn't make sense.
I said that if a couple decide not to have children, that is between them and God.
It's not for society, nor other Christians, to judge.
It's only between them, not God. God told to be fruitful. Paul said to not deny each other. Only if it is mutual agreement can this be done. Denial in a marriage is sin.
No, it isn't.
It is. I gave you the verse, and you ignored it. Read and come back.
You shouldn't be; you should be talking about hair.
That is the subject of this thread.
And you, and other 3 women hijacked it to find things to attack with. I enourage the women on this thread to stick to the topic.

Next you move from the topic, I'll remind you. I've seen this on-off pattern before.
Exactly.
So it's not a matter of Scripture, sin or divine command
Remember the passage you quote. Do not change the word. You replied on a a comment by which is easier, long or short hair. You said it was easier short. I said easier long. Do you have to remind you to keep track of what you are saying?
Not that you're judgemental at all.
You have no idea.
I'm not. You don't know what to do, even I told you. This is because I follow the bible in its entirely. You simply take shortcuts to salvation. You can;t understand. It's deduction based on facts.

Some are.
And that's what I do with my hair every day - wash and then comb.
A reminder: this off-topic.

That being said, basic shampoo right? Basic.. nothing made for women, nothing meant to style, or moisturize.. basic, common, medium-priced, right?

It depends on what God wants to do.

That verse applies to people that can't handle being alone. The way I interpret it is: if loneliness causes you to think of sin, it is not good. And if, sexual lust increases when alone, it is definitely not good. I take it, this is what God meant when He said that. But, I can handle it. And this is a question between me and God.
Considering the verse was in reference to Adam. It is not good that the man be alone. Adam was the crowning glory of humanity along with Eve. Perfect in every way. Yet the God in his infinite wisdom did ordain for him a partner. Adam & Eve were once perfection and they required a mate yet yu be part of fallen humanity. So how much more in need of a mate. God did give the sexual desire. Sexual desire when two become is most beautiful for those of us who have experienced. You say yu can handle it. Perhaps with Gods help yu can . But certainly not on your own strength

I think people notice and maybe thats because of cultural stereotypes that women are suppose to have longer hair and look more feminine. I don't think I am a traditionalists in fashion and I have long hair as an old bloke lol.

But occassionally I will see a very short haircut on a women and to me it seems out of place or doesn't match what I imagine. Maybe thats me but in some ways I think there is this basic antenna or something like that where we naturally see certain signs which represent the sexes and its when these are turn on their heads we notice.

Sometime and this may also be a stereotype I think some of these women are lesbians. Not that this is saying anything about their worth. But short hair is also a fashion of some lesbian women. I think in some ways this is beause some do have a more masculline tendency such as what we would call 'butch' lesbians. BUt what % of this is stereotyping or is going against our natural tendency I am not sure.

There is some research that shows a link between the hormonal balance of some lesbians and men or transmen.

How this relates to the bible. I think Paul mentions something about hair and head coverings which is maybe related to the order in the church body and this representation between Christ the groom and the church bride. Which is related to the husband and wife and headship.

Steve you perhaps speak of the ladies who sort of look like GI Joe they have hair but it is shaven on their sides.. they do have masculine tendencies and seem attracted to the femininity of us long haired ladies often speaking with masculine authority to attract us. There may be some truth to the hormonal imbalance. As many from an early age seem to know what their sexual preference be. Be it woman or man for some it’s both

He cut my desire for carnal pleasures. Made it such that they are optional.

I'm not sure if this is a no or a wait from Him. With no sexual desire, the thinking is unaltered. So, when looking for a potential partner, without this, you tend to see things that you never see while there is a strong desire. It clouds your judgement.
There is, and will never be a risk of fornicating. Neither the loss of sanity due to aloneness. It's might seem odd, but I'm never really alone. I always feel in the company of someone.

It's not really a choice. Even if I wanted to do, there's no one that abides by the scripture. A good, god-fearing woman is very hard to find. Per my observation, if you meet just one good woman in your life, even that is considered a miracle from God. (Even men for that matter.) God will have to provide for this, because what I saw so far, it's a hard pass.

Besides, in the near future, I may become a monk, due to my life, and habits. So, never having relationships will certainly help on this part. But again, I don't know what God wants to do. So far, he kept me away from fornication and promiscuity.

The research I think is well supported but not conclusive as theres many unknown factors at present. But basically there are some people who have a in develop for various reasons are aligned with the opposite sexed brains in those particular areas.

But as we known this is not always the case and there may also be couples both with short hair or long hair though less often. So its complex but there is some association.

I think this maybe going back some time as well. I remember a couple of true stories about women who became men and fooled most for some time as it was taboo.

But I also think this may have increased. BUt I am not sure if this is because it is a cultural phenomina, biological and genetic or a combination of both. I suspect it is the last. Culture has defnitely developed to be more gender fluid in general or at least accepting it for the most part.

But from what I have read on the toxins and pathogens and even hormones being punmped into the system over decades it would not surprise that this has caused some damage with our biological systems.

The cultural context of that preaching is that it doesn't apply to us anymore. This is why Christian women don't cover their heads anymore.

Nowhere else in the Bible it's mentioned to be law or command. Paul did sort of commanding his audience because back then in Corinth, wearing head covering is what a respectable woman do and Corinth is a very lawless place.

As everything else with Paul's teachings many of them aren't mentioned anywhere else in the Bible - these are very specific instructions for the time period and culture/region.

I'm not angry - I was trying to understand your point of view and write an answer to the various statements in your post.
If you did quoted them, this would end. The way you wrote replies, imply my writings were never in the bible in the first place.
I never said that.
Where is that reply about homosexuality (i believe i wrote to you, and ignored it for your benefit).
No idea.
But the topic of the thread that you started is the length of women's hair.
You are incapable of providing a link to a book, accuse of not searching for me, and you want a list of studies?
I'm quite capable of giving you a link, I just didn't.
I told you the name of the Bible; if you want to buy it I'm sure you're quite capable of going to Amazon and searching for it.

Yes, I wanted to know what studies you had read. Just saying, "I've read some studies" could mean that you've read half a dozen research papers that were produced by experts, or it could mean that you read someone's opinion on the internet.
As if you can't find them? No, you do not want to find them.
What do you want me to do; Google "what studies have been done on women with short hair"?
Eventually, nature will force you.
Force me to do what?
I understand you are being dense on purpose.
I understand you are being rude on purpose.
(Unless, of course, it's your nature and you can't help it.)
If you want salvation, you can do whatever you want.
I already have salvation; I am saved.
And salvation has nothing to do with the length of hair a person has.
Short hair didn't exist until the recent years. If it had been something worthwhile it would have existed since the dawn of time.
Why would it?
I went to gym more than once. Stopped going because people started to take pictures of themselves, and not working out. They didn't care about health, they went as a means to showcase their passion for health. Taking all sorts of chemicals, and some socialized. Women heads turned, men heads turned, one trying to impress the other. Ungodly behaviors of modern times.
Your few experiences at the gym do not mean that you've studied, or researched, the subject.
It's only between them, not God. God told to be fruitful.
No, if they are Christians they will listen to what God is saying, tell him what they are feeling and will try to make a decision about what they think is right.
A Christian couple who made a decision like that without involving God, would not be honouring him in every part of their lives.

Not that this has anything at all to do with hair.

And you, and other 3 women hijacked it to find things to attack with. I enourage the women on this thread to stick to the topic.
Well then, you stay on topic.

In the title of this thread you are asking for people's opinions, and experiences, of women with short hair. In your first post you talk about the differences between short hair and long hair and what it means.
That is the topic of this thread - women with short, or long, hair.

Then you started talking about women making changes after failed marriages, and linked hair length with women's intuition, forgetting their natures and the fact that a woman mustn't be indistinguishable from a man from the back. You've also talked about authority in marriage, having children and that women are "well groomed", (which is apparently a sin.)
None of this is about a woman's hair length, so it is off topic.
You replied on a a comment by which is easier, long or short hair. You said it was easier short. I said easier long. Do you have to remind you to keep track of what you are saying?
Not only can I not keep track of what you are saying, I don't understand it.

I'm not. You don't know what to do, even I told you. This is because I follow the bible in its entirely. You simply take shortcuts to salvation.
You said that you're not judgemental, but then judged me.

Hair length has nothing to do with salvation. We can't do anything to be saved.
Jesus has already saved me.
That being said, basic shampoo right? Basic.. nothing made for women, nothing meant to style, or moisturize.. basic, common, medium-priced, right?
If it's any of your business, yes. When we were kids we had our hair washed with washing up liquid; didn't do us any harm.
Not that this has anything at all to do with salvation, or even the length of my hair.

And by the way, I have chosen not to answer every point that you made in your previous reply to me, because I don't intend wasting any more time on such a ridiculous subject.
You wanted our opinions about long and short hair.
If you really did want my opinion, I've told you. If you want to argue about why your understanding of Scripture is correct - no thank you.

I don't know what things - not "thugs" by the way - you think I've ignored.
I probably didn't; I probably decided the subject was too silly to keep debating.
We had a discussion about abominations, and gave a verse, and you nothing said nothing about. Prior to that, you said it was not an abomination. Look at verse, and decide.
If you mean "the link" you could have looked it up yourself in the time it too to write that.
And I've no idea what "attacking through the cracks" is supposed to mean.
It means you go on-off topic, and find things to attack with. As you did with thugs. It was a keyboard error. But you wouldn't know that, so my mistake.
I'm not angry - I was trying to understand your point of view and write an answer to the various statements in your post.
You are. It is known by the way you write. Ignoring replies, responding to what suits you, asking why repeatedly, and others.
I never said that.
You did, both directly, and indirectly. Look at your past replies, and see more than one reply which implies I do not know the scripture.
No idea.
But the topic of the thread that you started is the length of women's hair.
I wrote to you. Find it. or you want me to? Because this what you do: create multiple topic of conversation, and then hide whatever has been said.
I'm quite capable of giving you a link, I just didn't.
I told you the name of the Bible; if you want to buy it I'm sure you're quite capable of going to Amazon and searching for it.
Book - this is to see, how stupid you look, with that correction of yours.
Yes, I wanted to know what studies you had read. Just saying, "I've read some studies" could mean that you've read half a dozen research papers that were produced by experts, or it could mean that you read someone's opinion on the internet.
White-papers, and you go through them, not keyword-search. You have the nlm, go find.
What do you want me to do; Google "what studies have been done on women with short hair"?
I want you to your brain, not go for the easy route.
Force me to do what?
To be a woman. Follow the thread of conversation, not just is front of you.
I understand you are being rude on purpose.
(Unless, of course, it's your nature and you can't help it.)
You trashed this thread because of something that you react highly to.

I reply to everyone. How the conversation turns up, is on them, and not me. Look at the first pages, see your replies, and see how we got here. And, we'll further places, because you won;'t stop here. But will continue with you, in any direction you want this to go.
I already have salvation; I am saved.
And salvation has nothing to do with the length of hair a person has.
That would be something, considering the fact that no one knows for certain this. The judgement when your dead applies to your entire life, not just a piece of it. If you think when die, you go to God and say"... but I;m saved", you'll have a lot of disappointment.

I never say I'm saved, and I would never say that. It's God's judgement at end of the earthly life. I cannot make this assessment until the life has been lived.
Why would it?
Because new things caused more problems than it solved.
Your few experiences at the gym do not mean that you've studied, or researched, the subject.
It does because gyms were not invented for health reasons. What you can do at the gym is nothing compared to what you can do at home. I have researched it.

This is why I'm not going, and never will return.
No, if they are Christians they will listen to what God is saying, tell him what they are feeling and will try to make a decision about what they think is right.
A Christian couple who made a decision like that without involving God, would not be honouring him in every part of their lives.
In a marriage, the woman obeys her husband, and the husband obeys God. The husband is the ladder towards God.

You quoted only half. What about the other half? You refute the bible verses behind them?
Not that this has anything at all to do with hair.
You took this direction, and have the audacity to tell me that it has nothing to with hair? Come back to the topic, and we'll talk about hair.

Long hair is the way God has made you. It's the natural state.
Well then, you stay on topic.
I would. You those other 3 divert it.

Look your first replies, and decide how changed the direction. Unless you want me to copy those replies of yours.
In the title of this thread you are asking for people's opinions, and experiences, of women with short hair. In your first post you talk about the differences between short hair and long hair and what it means.
That is the topic of this thread - women with short, or long, hair.
Yes, and I thought it was understood: men's opinion. Because a woman is biased. She is easily offended by this, so her thinking is altered. Ironically, women posted here, probably based on some impulse.
Those were replies to you and those other women. My opinion on the matter is the first post, that is all. Everything else stems from whatever women threw at the thread.

One more: read. your. replies.
Not only can I not keep track of what you are saying, I don't understand it.
A person of faith would. Everyone else, has problems.
You said that you're not judgemental, but then judged me.

Hair length has nothing to do with salvation. We can't do anything to be saved.
Jesus has already saved me.
So have you. Actually, you did this from the very first replies.

Did I say anything about salvation, in any of my replies? About hair, or otherwise?

The only I replied of salvation, was to you, in this reply. I feel I need specific here...

If it's any of your business, yes. When we were kids we had our hair washed with washing up liquid; didn't do us any harm.
Not that this has anything at all to do with salvation, or even the length of my hair.
Read the text above. Stop flaunting salvation. It is useless in this context, and the overuse of it, tells me something else...

Irrelevant. What you do now is at discussion (discussion you created).
And by the way, I have chosen not to answer every point that you made in your previous reply to me, because I don't intend wasting any more time on such a ridiculous subject.
You ignored every verse replied to you.

You judged me for not knowing the scripture. And you yourself refuse to back it back, or refute the bible. Chose one over the other, and be consistent.

I encouraged to refute the hierarchy of God. What are you afraid of? You your self said "there is no hierarchy". You are dense on purpose, this is the result of your own writings.
You wanted our opinions about long and short hair.
If you really did want my opinion, I've told you. If you want to argue about why your understanding of Scripture is correct - no thank you.
I did. I wanted them on topic, and also wanted experiences from it.

I wanted observations, and personal experiences on the matter. i have written about mine.

That would be me, and proud to be able to attack this pious attempt of better-than-thou-ism BY STICKING TO THE TOPIC.
It's a sin, but you go ahead.

Now, in the future, all you four women are to stay away from any of my posts, and replies. I will not reply to you, i will not notice your writings, and I will not engage with you. Creating rabbit-holes in topics is useless, and causes confusion, and it tries to get the worst out of an individual. I don't deal in confusion, and I do not trash threads, here or everywhere else.

We're trying to get black women to accept allowing their hair to be short.

Black women in America spend trillions of dollars in one way or another chasing long hair. Some black women are spending as much as a Mercedes payment each month to have "long hair."

The desire for "long hair" is a curse for us.

A list of thugs from Scripture? I suppose Cain was the first...... :)
You know, when one has nothing to say, it goes after the most convenient thing to use. Politicians use this as a means to control the masses, and win some minds.
