As a matter of interest, then, why have most of the articles you link/quote been so out of date?

Persecution of Christians in Africa increased in 2012, according to the Open Doors 2013 World Watch List of the 50 countries where Christians face the most severe persecution. The number of African countries sharply increased due to the increasing influence of Islamist extremists. Mali is a newcomer on the list in No 7 position. Tanzania (24), Kenya (40), Uganda (47) and Niger (50) also moved onto the 2013 World Watch List, while Ethiopia rose strongly from 38 to 15. In addition, the small African country of Eritrea (10) made the Top 10 for the first time, and Libya climbed from Number 26 to 17.

However, North Korea still holds the Number 1 position when it comes to persecution of Christians, now for the 11th consecutive year. Simply possessing a Bible can be a reason for a Christian to be executed or sent to a prison camp along with three generations of his or her family. It is believed that between 50,000 and 70,000 Christians suffer in horrific prison camps. The intense persecution has continued under new leader Kim Jong-Un - as a consequence, the number of defectors to China greatly decreased in 2012 and an estimated half of those who try to defect do not make it.

Meanwhile back in Syria the anti-Christian rebels there have declared that Bibles are worse than chemical weapons. Says one report, "A video apparently made by some of the Islamists fighting and killing each other and the population in Syrian reveals quantities of Bibles and biblical materials, such as the Book of John, as a narrator describes them as being 'more dangerous than chemical weapons.'

"The video appeared yesterday, just as reports were coming out of Syria about how the Islamist rebels fighting President Bashar al-Assad’s army were 'liberating' villages, and then forcing Christians there to convert to Islam or be beheaded."

“According to Vimmerby Tidning ‘The woman went into shock while the rapes were still underway, and has since been in a heavily traumatised state. She is now subject to nightmares and panic attacks, and lives in a psychiatric clinic. She is bound to a wheelchair due to damages to her abdomen, and suffers from faecal incontinence.’ The main perpetrator Rafi Bahaduri, 25, had already committed four other rapes in Sweden. The case is not unique. There is a growing trend of gang-rapes perpetrated against white women by Muslim rapists.
