Time is what is required for change and movement. Without it everything would just remain exactly the same.

Ones say no one has been able to define "time". But God is able to So, what can we say without giving a circular definition?

Time is what you measure with a clock. It is what a clock measures, from one point of time to another point of time. Oh-oh, this is circular!!

Time is what you can not explain in words, but we simply have the word "time" for talking about it. Possibly, time is how long we have been existing while going from one point of our existing to another point. And a clock can measure how long our existing has been, between points of our living and activity. The relative position of the sun and the earth are used to measure how long we have existed between two points of our activity and living . . . and loving, hopefully

And what is important is timing. God has things working in relation to one another. You do not have to measure the relative movement of the sun and earth, in order for there to be God's timing of things. Even while the earth and sun did not exist, God was timing things in relation to one another. He had certain things leading to other things, though measuring of points of existence was not being done using the relative position of the sun and earth, which did not exist.

I think of time as a measurement of rate of change. This is how clocks work, whether it be a mechanical spring or the rate of change of electrons and atoms.
