it can be very irritating to see people exclaiming things to be of God when they are not, and speaking in glowing terms of things you believe to be false.
Conversely, it can be equally angering and frustrating when people condemn things you consider to be truth and divine gifts.
I often fail in this respect.
Yet I have to say, perhaps we'd all be better off if we left such things to God. As a wise Jewish Rabbi said 2000 years ago.. if it is not of God it will fail and come to nothing. If it is, it would be foolish to stand against it, and end up fighting God.
This is not to say that we let error go unopposed, or that we don't bother to teach the truth. It is to say, however, that there is no point in trying to teach those who refuse to listen, and argument between people who refuse to change their minds is useless.
I'm also not saying we should not discuss if there are people who really want to hear other's view points. I am saying that perhaps we should worry less about proclaiming our views and our rightness to those who don't want to hear them.
God, of course, does sometimes send a messanger to people who don't want to hear the message, and such a one must speak regardless. However, I think more goes on in the name of trying to beat down opposition through force of will and force of argument, than does in genuine prophetic mission, or worthwhile conversation.
