The Lord’s Day is in honor of the Resurrection and there is no connection between it and God’s command to keep the Sabbath holy. There are many people who have varying views on the Lord's Day. This poll is designed to clarify the varying views on the issue.
Roman Law - the law is a tool.I did not know that, so thank you for correcting me. That’s really good, actually, because it means reunion between the Orthodox and Catholics can be more readily accomplished.
None of the above. There are many people who have varying views on the Lord's Day. This poll is designed to clarify the varying views on the issue.
The Lord’s Day has usurped the Sabbath in the subjective sense insofar as there are people who have hypocritically set aside God’s command to keep the Sabbath holy in order to establish their own tradition, but not the objective sense insofar as man does not have the authority to countermand God.It is already in the statement, that it was an "addition", but the historical facts are that it did usurp the sabbath day. both of those things are true. the church banned the practice telling people they are "anathema" if they observed the sabbath
There isn't a Christian Sunday option in your list so I could not vote. That being said , all seven days are the "Lord's Day" technically. Additionally, the Saturday Sabbath, Shabbot , was never called the " Lord's Day". The early Christians, verified by scripture, gathered together on Yom Rishon, the first day of the week , aka, Sunday, the Lord's Day.There are many people who have varying views on the Lord's Day. Right! The first day of creation is called 'Day One'. The others are 'second', 'third', etc. It sums up all of creation in all time. This is the Lord's Day.None of the above.

#4The Lord’s Day does not replace God’s command to keep the Sabbath holy in the same manner that it does not replace God’s commands against idolatry, adultery, murder, adultery, rape, kidnapping, favoritism, and so forth God’s other commands.
#3I can't vote in the poll, since I don't agree with any of the options.
The Lord's Day is the day of Christ's glorious resurrection, the first day of the week, and celebrated by the Faithful when assembled to hear the word and receive the Lord's Supper.
The Lord's Day is not the Sabbath, it's not a new Sabbath and it's not the Sabbath established as part of the covenant with the Jewish people through Moses. The Sabbath looked forward to Christ, being a shadow of the fullness of Jesus who has brought us into His rest through the salvation we have received in and from Him. And therefore, as the author of Hebrews says, there remains a rest for the people of God, today (Hebrews 4:1-12)--by trusting in God's promises in Christ, in the Gospel of our salvation and God's grace, we experience this rest--apart from faith in the Gospel we are without it. So Christ says, "Come to Me all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28-30).
Christ is Himself our Sabbath. The Lord's Day isn't our Sabbath, but the day the Church has, from the beginning, come together to assemble for Word and Sacrament, that we might be continually refreshed in the goodness of God which is ours in Christ. We do this on the Lord's Day, the weekly commemoration of Christ's glorious resurrection, because His resurrection is the central truth of who we are as God's people: For Christ who suffered and died for our sins has been raised up, defeating sin, death, hell, and the devil; and His victory is our victory, and so as a people who having been united to His death having also been united to His resurrected life (Romans 6:3-5), having received the Spirit as the seal of our faith and guarantee of God's promises by the power of the Gospel (Ephesians 1:13-14), that we should daily be strengthened in these things. Holding firm to what we have received, clinging to Christ in all things, and depending entirely on God's grace which is the only thing which shall keep us steady through the rumble and tumble and unstable waters of this world--till the day we finally arrive on that distant shore.
God, therefore, having shared with us such an abundance of gifts calls us to abide always in Christ; and that we should enjoy and partake of these good things we come together. And historically, since the beginning, the weekly celebration of these things has been on the weekly commemoration of Christ's resurrection, which the Church has called the Lord's Day. There exists no command from God on what day(s) to assemble, and the people of God assemble regularly on many days. But this weekly day of assembly has always been the prominent one--not out of a legal compulsion; but out of holy freedom, to celebrate the most central truth of our religion: Christ is risen from the dead.

?None of the above.
The option I propose is to seek the truth and keep seeking the truth until the Father Reveals the Truth to you (each individually, always perfect in His Word, perfect harmony). What is the option you propose
?
it was political in nature. That is the problem. When the Lord's Day became associated with the Church-State Alliance, that is when it usurped the Sabbath. When it became associated with Roman State Warfare, people hid in the synagogue and abandoned the Lord's Day. In order to stop this and foster loyalty to the State, the banned the DabbathThat was then, this is now. The problem is not having services on the Sabbath, it is in despising the Lord's day. My Parish is vacant; we are sharing a Pastor until we successfully call a Pastor. As a result, our Bible Study, Sunday School, and Divine services are conducted on.... wait for it......... Saturday.
We are always to remember the Sabbath day; but we also observe the Lord's day.
that does not help clarify your objection one bit, in fact, it does the exact opposite, by insinuating we are not looking for truth. The option I propose is to seek the truth and keep seeking the truth until the Father Reveals the Truth to you (each individually, always perfect in His Word, perfect harmony).
As a little child, I once learned the truth from the Father.
It is too much a cause of stumbling if presented here and now. To post it would only cause argument and dissension from many. But those who seek it , shall find it, in peace, in truth, in great and eternal joy, pure and gentle wisdom from above..... there are indeed a few who know this already, just as the Father is well pleased to reveal salvation to infants, He Has Revealed This as He Chose So To Do.
I can agree that the Lord's day is like a prayer meeting and an additional service to the Sabbath, but not that it usurped it. All of God's righteous laws are eternal (Psalms 119:160).
your poll options seem to be designed to be intentionally polemic
