What is the gospel?
(Note: I am not asking because I don't know).
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.What is the gospel?

It’s a legitimate question. If people who self identify with Christianity don’t know the gospel it’s a problem//good news of the perfect and only God, sending his son Jesus into the world//Who then lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross paying for the sins of the world, and then rose again on the 3rd day//defeating death and establishing his church in every person who repents of their sin and accepts his Holy Spirit into their heart through believing in him. Did I miss something??!!It seems since you think you already know then you're setting everyone up and expecting a certain outcome, so I'll hang back to see where you're headed with this.

Paul's spells it out for me:What is the gospel?
(Note: I am not asking because I don't know).
His death, burial, and resurrection—and its application."Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures"
- 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Yes, I believe this gospel message. But many do not realize that there is a call of the gospel. According to Scripture:Paul's spells it out for me:
His death, burial, and resurrection—and its application.
Jesus, God in flesh, suffered as the propitiation, buried as the satisfaction, resurrected as the intercessor for sin. If you trust in this truth alone, then you will be saved. This is the whole gospel message in three points.
Yet Jesus said he had a different gospel, of which what you speak was only a part of the whole, a necessary part to bring His Gospel about, the Gospel of the Kingdom, where man would reverse our course and no longer follow our own will, but the will of the Father. That was His gospel and should be the only one that counts. His death, burial, and resurrection—and its application.
I don't know about that. The part of the whole that I spoke of is sufficient to change a sinner from his ways and find reconciliation with God. This is enough for salvation. Everything else is commentary.Yet Jesus said he had a different gospel, of which what you speak was only a part of the whole, a necessary part to bring His Gospel about, the Gospel of the Kingdom, where man would reverse our course and no longer follow our own will, but the will of the Father. That seems to be a rather selfish pursuit without first understanding how backwards we are and repenting of such, thus relinquishing our self proclaimed authourity to God.I don't know about that. I think you're taking my words too exclusively. That seems to be a rather selfish pursuit without first understanding how backwards we are and repenting of such, thus relinquishing our self proclaimed authourity to God.
