Yeah. If I pay attention to my cognition, I find that when I look at a digital readout, I'm usually sort of translating it in my mind to visualize an analogue readout with hands for better perspective. Or maybe not with hands, but like if it says 1:13, I'm visualizing where the number 13 is placed on a 360 degree circle. And if you use an expression like "it's half past one", nothing really passed one, the number just changed sort of by a quantum leap. Actually a bit disturbing if you think about it. I could go on, but I'll just say the Newtonian universe was more comfortable.Just thinking what a difference in mindset there must be and how it affects emotion, when one considers how an analogue clock gives a person a sense of where they stand in the bigger picture as compared to being only an insignificant split second in digital time.
So, if you ever see me on the street and ask me for the time, expect a bit of a delay in my answering. I'm not being rude, it's just there's a lot to sort out.
