  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is currently on your mind?

The "flower of life" is a basic geometric pattern that's been used in lots of cultures for millennia (I think it's the New Age folks who call it that, but it long predates them). I don't attach any particular meaning to it except that it's a very neat pattern.

You can find a mould for the tree of life, although it depends how big you want it, I guess.

Thing is though, to make something or create something,

there will be a touch of one's personality in it,

just to have created something gives one satisfaction.

And there is no other identical anywhere.

I would say it is a part of you.

So, Mrs Paidiske, get your bucket and spade out. Haha.

For example, I made these table centrepieces for a lunch a while ago:

(That's not the best photo, but it gives you some idea...)

That is true about creating! And my usual hobby in that vein is origami.

But perhaps I ought to take on a new challenge...

Hope for the future at the appearence of the Messiah,

That tax collectors become origamists.

No more cold showers through the letterbox.

Cannot hardly wait :)

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. :)

I just find it so frightening that people look at all the evils in the world, and decide that everything would be better if only we deepened women's oppression. I don't even understand that thought process, tbh.

I knew it wouldn't happen. :)

There's that and the plea for a chance to do something they haven't convinced a suitor to permit. I can't put myself in someone's hands because I feel sorry for them or give them a level of responsibility they can't handle. That's reckless.

Our ideas of leadership moved beyond the archaic. Gone are the days of do as I say not as I do. You need more than that now. The majority don't have it. The ship has sailed. And if they're honest they're glad. They don't want the work. They want the spoils.

Men are conquerors, women use their brain,
generally speaking.

Wow.. didn't expect tornado warnings in the middle of March.
We’ve had two days flirting with getting close to 70. Got a cool down coming so I would not be surprise if we don’t get a few.

Yeah yesterday was pushing 70 here too.

I guess north of Minnesota is expected to get 10 inches of snow tomorrow and us none.. whew.. glad we dodged that bullet. Also this somewhat explains the severe weather and tornadoes we experienced today.
