I was so tired that I had gone to bed at 6pm (I'm usually up at 4am and it was a busy day at work, so that wasn't too outrageous). But then, I was tossing and turning for 4 hours due to back and hip pain (usually the worst on Friday nights due to how much walking around I do at work). So, now I'm up and just waiting to get sleepy again.

Pretty happy today. For the first time in a while... I feel like I'm a little alleviated from psychological issues that constantly weigh me down.

That it's more reasonable to place the midpoint of seasons at their respective equinoxes and solstices rather than to use these events to mark the boundaries. That would place the start and stop of seasons to when the solar declination is halfway between solstice and equinox, about +/- 11° 44'. That would place the start of spring about February 18; summer April 21; fall September 19; and winter October 24.

One of those nights were you actually fall asleep but wake up pass 3:30 am and can’t go back to sleep. Ugh.
You think you have a problem,

I cannot get it into my head that it is Febuary, keep thinking it is March.

A day or two npw and again but a whole month?

My daughter has developed something of an obsession with Minecraft. I am less of a fan, especially when it means she resists basic routine (like getting ready for bed).
What is Minecraft?

Hard to keep up with all the stuff going around.

I wish I were still blissfully innocent! It's a computer game. I'm... not sure how to describe it. My daughter particularly likes the ability to create her own " worlds" although there are other things you can do with it, too. While I don't mind computer games and like the creative and interactive aspects of it, it seems to be by far the most addictive thing she's ever come across, and I don't love that aspect of it.

An important thread, too many confusing, stressful thoughts on my mind to to list. Going through.life changing issues atm. For the last few weeks I have been waking up multiple times in the right after one of two hours of sleep. It's a real issue. (

Dedetonate the mine, take out the battery.

Growing up we did not dare say we were bored,
we were put on fatigues, haha, polishing brass.

Learned to be creative by making things with wood, hammer, nails and a saw.
but there you go, times change.

Was talking with a gent from Africa at the bus stop, he was just as bewildered.

he was going on about you tube, tik tok and so on,

then the bus came along.

I’m having a tough time at work lately. I had a particularly troubling experience with a subordinate from an adjacent department that’s really affected my mood since.

We have a spreadsheet at work that we use to document issues and errors we encounter while doing our jobs. Apparently we’re not all on the same page as to its purpose, because whenever I make an entry it’s mainly to record what I did to fix something that went wrong so anyone in the future can apply the same fix if it happens to them. Others, though, seem to believe it’s the place to point fingers and undermine their supervisors, because often I will open the spreadsheet and find a handful of new entries reporting errors that I made, no matter how small. This is frustrating because it’s a publicly viewable sheet which all of upper management has access to, so I look bad when my name shows up on that sheet so often. I don’t throw people under the bus like that.

This past week the entries recording my errors got particularly nasty, petty, and personal. So much so that I actually edited them down to hide the parts that personally attacked me. I know who it is, and now that I think about it he’s always been incredibly impatient with me. He’s not a model employee himself - I’ve caught him literally sleeping on the job in the past. I should have written him up.
