Tilling is work! Seems there is a backlog on everything when it comes to parts.

It is, especially if the ground as never been broken. It will beat you to death. Front tine is worse than back tine.

I went back on the company site (tiller company) and a lot of their parts are on back order. I don't think they keep stock, but just order from the manufacturer when an order comes in. I'm hesitant to try someone else.

I would be as well. But you are on a gardening timeline so maybe you should rent a tiller until you can get it fixed properly. I’ve got several raised gardens for backup that I can do by hand if need be.

I might have to do that. I'm going to fiddle with it some more and see if I can't come up with a temp fix until the part comes. I just need to choke it to start and then open it up to run. It's buried behind the air filter, but there's a way.

I’m sure you’ll get it figured out. My husband is the same way.

I had never heard of a garden tiller till you mentioned it, but now I'm looking at them online thinking I could use one of those!

Yeah, they're right handy. My sister lived in England and told me they had bought a "rotavater" and I had no idea what that was. It was a tiller, lol. I have heard people call them a "cultivator" as well.

Today was a better day mentally.

Although I did learn that an old co-worker of mine passed away. He and I didn't always get along, and some days he made going to work almost unbearable but I still find the news sad. We did make up the last time I saw him.

I don't quite know how old he was, but I assume he was 70. Looked good for his age actually thought he was in his 50s and didn't believe him when he told me his real age until he showed me his driver license.

Kindhearted people are always sad at the passing of another. Even if they did not get along with them.

Lol, thanks.

While I hated him at times, he was also about 40 years older than me. So I always sort of felt bad for him. He was quite the character. Pushing 70, that wouldn't stop him from hitting on just about every 20 something co-worker we had. He was pretty immature and acted like a teenager.. but I guess in a way he never lost his youth and he did have a zest for life. He could be pretty funny at times as well.

RIP.

I have no idea, just heard about it at work. Most people are guessing Covid related.. as for me.. I know he took a lot of hard drugs back in the day.. so I'm thinking maybe Covid.. but organ damage related.

Like I said before though.. he looked quite young for his age.. and he was very energetic. Still.. when you have a ticking time bomb it can deteriorate a man pretty quickly.

I found out today that it was "natural causes".

Personally I still think it's drug related.. I don't think he OD'ed but I do think his past lifestyle finally caught up to him.

I finally found his Facebook obituary. I don't want to be mean.. but his obituary is full of lies. He didn't have a good memory (the drugs ruined that) and while he liked to sing.. his voice wasn't good at all. Weird seeing his pictures when he was younger.. he looks so normal.

I don't want to speak ill of the dead.. but it is hard seeing phony things like that.. even when I die.. I'd like to be at least be honest about who I was.

I know but it was written by those who loved him. I guess those are the things they want people to remember.
