Gospel-Centered Hermeneutics by Graeme Goldsworthy
....... What do you think so far? Goldsworthy is on my "wish list", still trying to figure out if I 'can' get it along with The Christian in Complete Armour by Gurnall & The Theology of the Church by Akin before the new year.....or if I have to wait :prayer:

Universe, Robert Dinwiddie & Ian Ridpath. I'm intrigued by the vastness of space, the Voyager 1 spacecraft was launched in 1977 and is just now reaching the outer area of our solar system traveling at 38,000 mph.

Just like most books on hermeneutics, it starts out dry as a bone, but so far I like the review of the history of hermeneutics, the different schools of thought, and why they fail. By accident or design, the importance of presuppositions really comes thru to me. I'm just getting into the "doing" hermeneutics section, but I think this book will be added to my extremely short re-read list.

Gurnall's work is very good, long and sometimes dry but worth the struggle.

I was reading, "Redemptive History and Biblical Interpretation" by Geerhardus Vos last night and he mentioned how the German Reformed Church following Heppe, believed covenant theology was found in the works of Melanchthon and not Calvin. I've never read Augustana by Melanchthon but Heppe believe covenant theology was expressed in this work minus the Reformed idea of Federalism. Vos is a gem. His works are so wonderful to read.

I use to order from Amazon a lot, once or twice from Christianbook, but never from Monergism. Do you find them fast in shipping and low in cost?

I just ordered Pauline Eschatology by Vos and The Cross and the Covenants by R.B.C Howell from Reformation Heritage Books :: Home

Monergism's prices seem a smidge high to me :(
