You mean like "liberal?" I don't think so.

Liberal is a good example. We have thrown it around so much as an insult that it has no real meaning anymore.

Why would you consider me a threat though?

Also, do you understand the concept of social species (of which we are one)?

You might be consuming resources that I desire to consume for myself or my group (whatever that may be: family, tribe, country, economic business organization, political organization, religion). I could work with my group against you or your group.

It is when cultures are compared that the problem arises.
actually, I agree with you to a great extent. Much of what is called "racism" these days is just ordinary bigotry.

This has been happening to me for years on the forums. :(

A lot of things have changed this year. A new generation is rising to power. Old guys like me are no longer relevant.

If you have to include the disclaimer of country, political/economic organization or religion, then you're not talking about evolution anymore.

True liberals welcome all opinions whether they agree with them or not.

We are very relevant...under the radar. Mainly to our families. ;)

You mean like "liberal?" I don't think so.

Being called a racist is a bit more of a serious accusation than being called a liberal. I know many people I would not hesitate to call liberal because they would not feel the least bit insulted by that label and they would agree that it was appropriate based upon their political philosophy. I am not personally acquainted with anyone that I would call racist and those very few people that I am familiar with, though not acquainted with, that I consider to actually be racist I would not care to engage in conversation with.

They are organizations (groups) of humans (biological organisms), abstracted in various manners perhaps, vying for control of resources and power.

Do you think that is always necessarily the case though? Do you think that extermination is the only solution in this instance?

I'm just wondering what person's race has to do with helping someone.

Unless I'm mistaken blacks, Latinos, and Native Americans, as specific ethnic groups, could use some help. Lots of white folks as well, but they've been pushed the back of the line.

Unless I'm mistaken blacks, Latinos, and Native Americans, as a 'race', could use some help. Lots of white folks as well, but they've been pushed the back of the line.

And that's why that is considered racist. You're effectively generalizing individuals on the basis of race.

It shouldn't make a difference but for many it does. It seemed to me that OWG was talking about helping whole races and not individuals. How he has attempted to do this he did not specify.

That's true, but those organizations largely don't want extra resources because of an evolutionary desire to have those resources. They want the resources because they can get a profit from it.
Organizations like political and economic groups are not natural. You don't have BP Oil in nature, nor Apple, nor Nestle.

Yeah, as others have pointed out, this really sounds racist. You can say "some black people, some Latino people and some Native Americans could use help" and that would be sort of okay since that is a truth. Many sections of different ethnicities and races need help.
But when you just simply refer to them as groups AS A WHOLE, then it sounds racist.

Blacks have presented their problems as a specific ethnic community. Why not address it as such?

The desire to group together is evolutionary according to many scientists. It really doesn't matter what form the group takes. So a corporate organization is not really different than any other tribal structure.

Their leaders represent the whole community to others, not just a few. The differences you mention take place within those communities, but that's not what is presented to the world.
