Okay, I will start the list:

1. Manhunt
2. Any 3D Grand Theft Auto
3. Resident Evil (all)
4. Legacy of Kain: Defiance
5. Maybe the new Ninja Gaiden
6. Guilty Gear X and X2
7. Castlevania PS2
8. Anything Spawn (game or not)
9. Magic The Gathering Battlegrounds
10. Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball
11. Bloodrayne

those are the games I would think a Christian should not play. It's my opinion. I can already see you guys saying, "Well, you can't say I can't play this or that game, God can use all things together for good."
Ok, I can see where you're coming from, but shouldn't we draw the line somewere? Is there anything bad enough for someone to stand up and say that that game is to bad for ANYONE to play?

My picks are highlighted in blue (the others I either haven't seen or don't have a problem with).
I don't beleive and can't play any game where characters are always dressed scarcely or uncessarily so (Like DOA extreme). Its not realy a game any longer. Girls can play it 'cos its, well, girls playing volleyball I guess but I can't and will never play it, too much focus on female physical features. As a Christian, I can't play that and justify it as a videogame. Its just not a focused volleyball game.

GTA: I don't support any game where you get "points" for taking out cops/authority for no justifiable reason or motive besides just being a bad guy. I can't play a game where you sleep with a prositute or have sex. I never played GTA and never will.
GTA to me is just a series of crime sprees and is pointless.

I can't play any games (and no Christian should) with sexual acts. Its no different from porn, except its not real humans.
Thesame goes for language. Some times the situation parallels the language but too many curse and uncessarily vulger language and thats it for me for that game. Just like in real life, I can't listen to explicit lyrics (thats why I hate most rap) or stay around people that swear alot for too long and thesame goes for videogames.

Thats my opinion as a Christian.

So would you say this painting would be inappropriate for a Christian to look at? What if I told you it was required for a class? And what if that class was by a Christian professor at a Christian college? My own opinions of the art aside, I feel video games are the same way. It's the intent you watch them with. If it's just a game to you, then there's nothing wrong with it. If you use it simply for lust's sake, then it's a problem.

The picture is out of the topic of discussion, let me explain.

It is required for a class, yes, it is historical. It is differen't from going to a store and buying a game where you'd control a character that would lust or have sex. Thats different.

I attend a Christian school as well and I had to read a couple of books for an American Literature class that had to do with slavery. Even though it was hard for me to take, they are in a historical context and you can't learn American history without facing slavery. Now to play a game where you'd have to enslave people, thats different (and avoidable).

The picture you are showing me doesn't fit the argument here. Lust is possible in videogames and avoidable, thats my point.
Playing a videogame with lust is avoidable and should be on Christian basis.
If you can't avoid it, then its justifiable but if you can (we can), thats my point.

I guess you misunderstood what I was saying, since you just pretty much repeated the point I was trying to make. I was saying that a broad statement about "all sex in video games is wrong" makes no sense unless you also extend it to artwork, books, etc. However, if you differentiate between the ones intended for lust and the ones intended for other reasons, then there should be no problem. I completely agree with you that the GTA prostitute thing is wrong. But, if I were to find a game where two characters have sex, but the point is not to be pornographic, it's to develop the characters, I'd have no problems with it. (As a side point, for it not you be pornographic, you would have no control over it, it would cutscene, and probably not even show anything, stuff would just be implied.) The sims is an example. There's sex there, but it isn't explicit, and it makes sense. Married couple (or at least, should be) + desire to have children or desire for your spouse = sex.

One game I'd be concerned about a Christian playing is Playboy Mansion.

I think the sex in The Sims is unneccesary and just there to satisfy the sexual greed that society seems to hunger so much for these days. In the original Sims, they had a baby and we didn't need to see them jumping around in bed for it. It's just a game, not a portrayal of real life down to the T.

A friend of mine was a professional photographer for many years, he has a lot of contacts and still meets with a lot of those people, to include trips to the Playboy Mansion.

He's a Christian and enjoys interacting with people when they ask him about his faith whether he's at Church or at the Playboy Mansion he has an opportunity to proclaim his faith.

The Sims is a life simulator. Sex is part of life last time I checked. Besides, it was never graphic. If anything it was rather anti-climactic

About the Sims:

Sex is a part of life. If Sims is going to be a realistic life simulator, then sex is going to have to happen at some point. There's nothing unnecessary about it.

I agree. My mom is as likely as anybody to have a problem with anything remotely sexual, and SHE doesn't have a problem with me playing the Sims 2 in the middle of the house with my five-year-old sister around.

I don't have a problem playing it in the living room with my 5 yr old son running around, but I still think they made the game without before and everyone still liked it, so I believe it is unnecessary in a game.

Don't worry about it, I have no right to hold it against you. If I did, I'd have to shoot myself for the number of times I've done the same thing.

As for the sims/sims 2 sex thing, I'm with Elesaid in maybe it wasn't necessary, in that people stilled liked the game when it wasn't there. Though I still don't personally have a problem with it. Though the whole bouncing bed and weird faces seems a bit...quirky at times.

I didn't realize that God made commandments in reference to video games, especially since they wouldn't be around for nearly two millennia.

We all know that, he is simply generalzing and I think we know what he is trying to say even if its not entirely accurate.
