So I'm a young person who has been a Christian my whole life. I have severe ocd which gives me religious anxiety such as fear of hell like this. So I do sin like cussing and drinking and I do admit i scoff sometimes at the idea of opening myself to gods will but i do believe in him and that he is the way to eternal life. I get my attitude towards God because of outside influence that I sometimes lean to because I was raised in an overly religious community and felt trapped but now I feel destined for hell even though I do believe in jesus and that he loves us
This is interesting! Some people think they are a Christian because they believe about God and the teachings of Jesus Christ, but real salvation and Christian testimony is a RELATIONSHIP such as found in John 1; John 3; John 14. The Bible shows "...he that has the Son has life (eternal), "and he that has not the Son has not (that) life" (1 Jn. 5:10-12). So, such a thing as "severe OCD" might well cause one to blurt out wild thoughts, but THEN that one should quickly confess the failure to God and exalt the Lord Jesus in their thoughts. True confession is the redeeming issue! Look up always, for God cares always.
