What type of questions should be considered in the asking if, or as to, whether or not, someone is ready for Baptism or not?
I think it is good to talk with you in order to make sure you understand what you are doing. But I don't think it is good to expect you to make promises and guarantee money to a church.

Also, I think Jesus says to teach people who are being baptized > Matthew 28:19-20. So, it is good to take time to teach you what is good.

Neogaia, typical questions might be said to be based on the Niceness creed. Though I'm not Lutheran, I highly respect their view on Baptism. When someone asks you how do you know you were saved, you tell them you were baptized. However, this doesn't suit stereotypical Protestant who values actions over baptismal water. People seem to believe miracles, yet can't believe in the miracle of God working in the water to save them, because they want to believe they saved themselves by believing right things. There might be 75% of Christians who wrongfully believe the Trinity and in a sense it's an essential. I would not question a person's faith if their ignorant of the understanding. A pastor who holds to modalism, yes(e.g. Td jakes)

I am strongly considering being Baptized...

I wanted to collect some opinions on what it means to others...

Baptism to me means, that it is a symbol and a public declaration of what has already occured in your life, and that is being born again, which happens in spirit in your life, also acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior, and accepting his atoning sacrifice on the cross to pay in full our sins...

Baptism to me is also a symbol of repentance, which is what trips me up, because I have not fully repented, confessed and asked forgiveness for, but not fully repented for...

Am I ready for Baptism?

God Bless!
Well according the the scriptures, One must repent and be baptized in the name of JESUS Christ for the remission of their sins and they shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38

Paul the apostle was baptized in the name of JESUS Christ and JESUS commanded us to do it and the church did it.

When one gets baptized in water, God does an operation and circumcises that person's heart by cutting off the foreskin of their heart according to our faith, that is why it is not a works but by faith.
