If you're listening to Joyce Meyer...you won't be rooted and grounded in good sound doctrinal teaching.

*She'll talk you to death using a few scriptures.

*She believes Jesus went to hell and was tortured by Satan and his demons.

If you listen to her you better be rooted and grounded in the word. You can get *some* good teaching...but you need to know what to throw away.

Joyce Meyer is a typical word of faith teacher. I think Hank Hannegraf pegs her pretty good using her own words.

I have not listened to much of her speaking but know she will not wear the same suit of clothes twice and she sure make a bundle of cash. I hear most of what I know of her from women who listen or have read her books. Can't say I like what I've heard. Sound like a pseudo Benny Hinn of the female type. I did hear her speak about worrying while channel surfing. She was spot on about how it can hurt one but her remedy was about like saying , "JUST STOP IT". She always has something for sale. But she's about what i expect from a rich TV evangelist type. Living like a queen while preaching to the peasants about giving to the poor. Namely poor Joyce.

Gee, and I've listened to dozens of her lectures and still don't believe that Jesus was tortured in hell. Go figure.

Now that I think of it, I once heard a preacher say that baptism has to be by immersion. He was one of the most powerful preachers I've ever encountered. I appreciated everything else he said about the love of Christ, his sacrifice for our sins, and such things, not understanding at all that I was in grave danger of becoming a Baptist without realizing it.

At that time the household income was usually around 35 grand.
The following year the income was 100 grand.

She's been ordained, and that's the term that is normally used in her faith, even if not exactly accurate.

I make it a policy to call Catholic priests "priests", too, and Mormon elders "elders," even though there are certain objections that could be made about the appropriateness of those terms. By the way, there are thousands of ministers in various denominations that continue to be called "pastor," even if the do only administrative work or are retired. They can, of course, be called upon to do pastoral duties if needed.Other denominations consider a pastor to have ceased to be a pastor the moment he ceases to lead a congregation.

Actually s, I had a 'frozen shoulder' for over a year. and there WAS some
unforgiveness in my heart that I didn't realize.
I was walking in love towards the person I'd felt negatively about and that
very night in bed, God healed my shoulder.
This was last month. So ... maybe there's something to that stuff
