It is a Christian movie. Have you seen it? It teaches the love of dogs. Jesus loves dogs.
While Jesus and or God loves animals, this truth is not a central teaching of the gospel, or the teachings of Jesus Christ. It's not definitively Christian. For there can be a movie about loving your neighbor, but if there is no mention of Jesus or the Bible, etc. then it is not really a Christian movie but it is merely a moral one. Many movies can be moral, but if they do not mention Christ, or the Bible, or God in some way, they are not really a Christian film.
Your opinion.
Have you seen the movie I suggested?
Does a movie have to "mention" Christ, God or the Bible? Is it not enough that love is demonstrably shown. God is love.
All of the Narnias! (not by BBC)
Aslan created a world where there was sorcery. In this world, there is not.
Sorry for being so harsh folks, but I am really looking for Christian films that directly promotes Jesus, His Word, and His teachings. If the film does not directly talk about God, Christ, the Bible, or Christ's teachings, I do not see it as a true Christian film. I would like to ask folks to only post movies that are clearly or purely Christian (without any doubt).
You asked for our opinions. C.S. Lewis--a Christian--wrote the Chronicles of Narnia--an allegory of our Christian walk, start to finish. Aslan is Jesus. Thus Narnia is Christian, as far as I'm concerned. If you don't want people to post opinions different from yours, don't ask the question.
But you implied before, it was not a Christian film,
Jason0047 said:and now you are saying that it is.
For I said,
"I would not have expected this kind of film to be a Christian film or Christ focused. What part of the story do you think makes it a Christian film?"
You said in reply, I quote:
"Perhaps you missed the premise: it's about the world's biggest dog."
So it's about the world's biggest dog and it's not about Christ, His teachings, the Bible, or Christians in any way. Hence, it is not a Christian film.
Jason0047 said:In any event, please take no offense, but I created the thread and it is only respectful that you agree with what the OP thread topic is about.
Jason0047 said:Besides, the movie you listed is clearly not a Christian film.
Jason0047 said:The film makers are not in any way Christian who are out to promote a Christian message or theme.
Jason0047 said:If there is no Christ mentioned or the Bible mentioned, or God, then it is just another secular movie among many others that does not make you think about God, Christ, or the Bible, but it is only a film that seeks to move you emotionally (without any mention of God).
