I watched the horror movie Creepshow. I started it a year ago & was loving it but never finshed it. So I picked it up & watched the whole thing. It's really good. It can be kind of cheesy, but I think it's supposed to be. It's a collectiion of 5 stories.
My favorite is The Crate. I understood The Crate Monster to be a 'scapegoat' for the deaths in the short. That is, I think the 2 main characters are murderers, but they're psychology puts the blame on a crate monster. I looked online, but I can't find anything else saying that interpretation, & the official canon is the monster is real. I think that's dumb tho. I like my interpreation better. If the official canon is that it's real, that puts a dent in it being my favorite short, but I did still find it very suspenseful.
I also liked the one where the guy buries the others on the beach.
"Give me my cake!" lol
The plants invading is very memorable.
The cockroach one was okay.
I can't remember the 5th one!
Check out Creepshow if you like classic horror or cheesy horror!
I give this a 5/5!
I finished Justice League The Animated Series "Season 1". I say "Season 1" b/c I jumped between Season 1 & 2. JL has overall been a disappointment. I loved Batman, Superman, & Batman Beyond shows, but JL feels slower paced & dumbed down, like they're just doing it to sell toys. I wish there was more character development. I do like the new members. Martian Manhunter, the Flash, Green Lantern. But they're pretty flat characters. My favorite episodes have been ones w/ the Joker and/or Lex Luthor / villain's from STAS & BTAS.
So I've since watched the second half of the Justice League The Animated Series, & just finished Justice League Unlimited season 1.

Holy heck, JLU is REALLY REALLY REALLY good. It's just as good as the Batman, Superman, & Batman Beyond shows. Maybe better? B/c everything connects back to them. Plus more heroes. You can feel the tension building! Project Cadmus. It starts a little slow, but once the Cadmus story gets going, it doesn't stop! Just binged 2 disks of episodes & I rarely do that for shows!

I have NO IDEA what they were thinking when they did JL & why it was such a big step back, but JLU righted the ship again! I am excited to start season 2. I want to know what happens next!!

It's a shame JL was such a step back, b/c a lot of the episodes connect w/ JLU. Otherwise I'd say you s/ skip JL, & just watch the other shows. Maybe there's a list of 'essential' episodes?

BTW, this is minor, but I like how they ditched Hawkgirl's mask. The ability to see her expressions adds a lot more character to her. She was the Founding Member I was least interested in, but she seems like a real character now. It doesn't help she doesn't really get a story arc in the JL show until the very end.

I'd love to watch season 2 (I own it), but I need to finish off the Dressrorsa arc of One Piece. I have Collection 30 & that's it.

The DC Animated Universe is so good!

Lilo & Sitch movie
This is one that never interested me b/c it looked too childish, I always thought the animation looked cheap even when I was younger, & the alien designs were unimpressive. But I have family & friends that love the series so decided to watch it.
It is better than I thought! The heart of the movie w/ Lilo & her sister is what makes it good. It even makes Stitch seem like a side-character in his own movie. I also found the humor w/ the 3 of them good as well. Lilo & her sister are believable characters.
The other aliens aren’t as good tho. I just don’t care for their designs. I did like the ‘president lady’ alien, tho.
I liked the Hawaiian songs!
I’m gonna say go ahead & give this a watch at the minimum just so you can say you saw it, b/c the franchise still seems popular today. I see a lot of Stitch merchandise, for example. It’s not as good as Disney’s top animated movies, but a good second tier.
I give this a 4/5

I watched college basketball

I’ve been watching Curious George in Spanish. The vocabulary is easy enough to follow but it introduces new phrases & words too. The animation matches the dialogue so it helps you pick up on what new words mean.

I’ve also been continuing to watch soaps on Telemundo.

Threw TV out of my life back around about ‘11-‘12. I just got tired of the sodomy, feminism, and various other forms of filth and decadence being promoted. And that was only the commercials..I really only watched Major League Baseball and the highlight shows. That was several years before I converted as well. Nowadays you couldn’t get me to sit in front of the TV with a 20 gauge shot gun to my head. Don’t even want to know how bad it is nowadays. I could see the adversary and his little minions really getting flamboyant in their agendas years ago.

No regrets. They don’t call it ‘programming’ for nothing. Or at least they used to. Admittedly, got into watching some free movies online for a while. It turned my walk into a crawl. Then I was getting dragged backwards. Maybe it is different for the rest of you, but I was heavily paganized for many years of my life..perhaps a lot of you grew up in a solid Christian environment. Or perhaps many of you just aren’t as negatively impacted by some things as I.

Don’t really even browse YouTube anymore. If I see one more scummy lowlife hustler on there trying to pimp the faith for money, I am so close to getting back into the old man to address their garbage. I was a fighter in the pagan days. Both verbal and physicals. And it’s hard to keep that side of me put away at times especially when I see people selling the things of God (or their false version of it). Sometimes it is hard to keep the flesh in check when I see those YouTube hustlers pimping the faith. Never was cool with that sort of thing, like telEVILangilists, even as an extremely paganized, carnally inclined person.

As it is written, set no evil thing before thine eye. Maybe I am just more sensitive to picking it up. I will say this though, the adversary is quite skilled at throwing in those little cues, and generating a Pavlovian response out of the masses.

STAR WARS The Bad Batch Season 1 Episode 16

About the last of the Star Wars programs available on Disney + I'll probably cancel my membership since I burned through every Marvel and Star Wars program/film/cartoon/etc.

The Death of Superman DC cartoon movie
I liked it. Pacing is very good. I expected to watch it over the course of 2 days but before I knew it, it was almost over. It has a good build up. There’s not a lot of fights, it’s all building to the fight w/ Doomsday, but when it happens, the action is very good. I wish there’d have been more background on Doomsday himself.
The only downside to the movie I can think of is the death itself is anticlimactic. It’s basically what looks like a normal Superman fight, then you find out at the end it was so intense it killed him………Cut to funeral & a couple smaller scenes, & they find out he’s revived already & roll credits. So I think more time was needed to tell this story – there should’ve been a deathblow by Doomsday & another couple 20 minutes of the impact of Superman’s death rather than straight reviving him.
But these are minor nitpicks. The movie’s overall entertaining. I recommend it primarily to DC or Superman comics or crartoon fans.
4/5

I watched The Mandalorian Season 1 & 2. It is one of the better things Disney has done w/ Star Wars. Not perfect, but good. It makes me frustrated they messed up the “Sequels” so much.

I watched The Book of Boba Fett. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. There were parts that make me angry (in a 'what the heck am I watching, Disney' way) but parts I loved too.
