I didn't know about the game but in that case, I'm not joining at all.

I don't have issues with self defense even with lethal force but if the choice to simply walk away remains open, I'll make that choice instead.

Everyone has to agree to quit and the prize is forfeited and distributed to the families of those who died. The cash equivalent for the grand prize was $35 million and it's over in a week. If you fail a challenge you die. Often by the hands of the guards or the players if you're hindering them.

If you were thrust in a situation that required lethal force to survive it's understandable. But to willingly partake in killing for the sake of profit is wrong. It's nothing more than a glamorized s*uff film. That's why they have the VIPs. They're being entertained by death. That was the theme in The Purge and Hunger Games.

When you watch things like this after a while you're desensitized and that's the point. Rich versus poor is a popular trope. But it takes a certain level of desperation to make you play the game, purge, or commit heinous acts. The game master admitted they created it because they were bored. So they gamified suffering.

If I ever get involved in such game, I'd rather kill the game organizers, owners, and sponsors instead.

That will be the theme in the new season. I'm interested to see the hierarchy and how it plays out.

I don't like to kill. But the last couple years have desensitized me to deaths and suffering. I've even become desensitized to physical pain. Otherwise, I won't be so eager looking for ways to volunteer in world conflicts happening right now.

If there is a clear and moral objective, then I'll have no problems joining.

But if the objective is to entertain at the cost of the most vulnerable in society, that's just evil.

Why have you been desensitized?

Death of pets and dad. Mom getting sick and disabled, and the family getting into debt in just few short years. Later on, euthanizing stray kittens on my own, exterminating rats on a near daily basis and I love ALL animals, even rats. And then getting seriously injured in an accident. After a while I began hurting myself banging my head in the stone wall and started planning different ways to kill/euthanize myself without making it look like a suicide and I actually found a way where I won't feel any pain, not leave any evidence to anything, and leave myself entirely intact and without endangering anybody else (definitely not through CO2 poisoning). That is just a few years ago. I had PTSD from a childhood experience as well that traumatized me more than anything and the strongest suicide motivation for me and I'm not going to tell about it. My family knows about it, yet there is still no relief from it and our recent troubles have only kept on reminding me about it.

I regard animals like people, including the ones that are not pets. I cried more when our pet dog died even though I love my dad and he is the best dad to me, literally. And then having to witness so many animal deaths because I killed many of them. I actually sometimes try to suffocate myself to death (the same fashion I killed those animals) just to feel and somewhat bring some justice to their deaths.

I doubt anyone here has to kill nor cause the death of something or someone they love. I think it's the most horrible thing. I won't even want to wish such fate even to my worst enemy. It changes you and I don't think it would be safe for anyone to be with me. Despite my incredibly harmless appearance, I'm like a bomb deep inside.

My friend & I finished Digimon Season 1. I do not recommend the show. It’s too kiddy for me.

MLB: Atlanta @ Philadelphia. It was tied in the 9th, Braves got the bases loaded but couldn’t win it. Phillies ended up winning in extra innings. Nick Castellanos (ex-Tiger) got the winning hit (& brought a run in earlier in the game too), but I wanted the Braves

College football all Saturday

NASCAR Cup Series: Go Bowling at the Glen, at Watkins Glen. Chris Buescher won, passing SVG in a nail-biter halfway thru the final lap.

MLB Playoffs: Atlanta @ San Diego. I watched half of Game 1 & half of Game 2. Braves didn’t look good at all. They are out now. I wanted Atlanta

Was watching Arizona & Atlanta this season, never would’ve guessed it’s Detroit the last one standing! I’m hoping they have some evening games in Round 2.

The Flash Season 2 (CW show) – I really like this show. It’s one of the better superhero shows I’ve watched. There’s so many powers he has you don’t know about. All the characters are likable. Usually The Flash himself is a supporting Justice League member but here he gets the spotlight & it’s clear why he’s worthy of being of the Justice League. Even the episodes that are more like fillers, are good. Season 2 didn’t have the sudden twists Season 1 had but still enjoyed it. Main criticism is at 23 episodes a season, it’s a long show so can drag. Even tho I really like it, I doubt I’ll watch the whole series.

My friend is showing me more Mork & Mindy episodes. I’ve shared in the past I think the show is trying to present the unsaved (abnormal) as okay (normal), but the ‘different parts, one Body’ & God created even his own children unique messages are applicable for Christians too. I overall like the show. "Nanu nanu!"

Seal Team season two ended on a really good note. Without spoiling too much, it was nice to see Clay and his dad get on better terms. The show's strengths are the military or action segments, the brotherly bond of the seals, and sometimes the humor. Season two really made the comedic character of Sonny more likable and fleshed out. The show can be a bit heavy at times but I guess that makes sense considering the high stakes job.

My friend showed me The Lego Batman movie. I had heard it was one of the better cartoon Batman movies, but I was disappointed. Seemed like ‘generic family movie that’s trying to cash in on the Batman name’. But I did like a lot of the jokes, & the callbacks to other parts of the franchise, whether it be movies or obscure characters. I’d say It’s worth watching if you like Batman to see what it is. Interestingly my friend doesn’t like The Lego Movie & likes this, but I’m the opposite.

MLB Playoffs: Detroit vs Cleveland: I watched some of Game 1, most of Game 2, & some of Game 3. The Guardians raced to a 5-0 lead in Inning 1, Game 1, & shutout the Tigers, but the Tigers shutout the Guardians in Game 2 & broke a scoreless tie in the 9th to win. They got a shutout in Game 3 as well.

MLB Playoffs: Cleveland @ Detroit: All of Game 4. Went back & forth but Cleveland won 5-4. Guardians got the insurance run top of the 9th, Tigers scored bottom of the 9th but wasn’t enough. Series Tied 2-2.
I want Detroit

I’ve also been watching golf, & college football on Saturdays

I don't know if Amazon has that many of them, but apparently, they have at least some Great American Family films on the Prime subscription. I watched Christmas Keepsake. The father and daughter relationship was really sweet. It felt like they were actually related. The romance the dad has with a baker is nice, but the main focus was the dad and daughter, which worked well.

If I was rich, I would probably fund a lot of Christian movies. I think Christians watching secular stuff is actually good to a point to understand what's being taught in the secular world. But I think Christians haven't focused enough on supporting and creating Christian culture. I actually think the Great American Family approach, which is primarily wholesome movies with some Christian parts thrown in, like visiting a nativity in Christmas Keepsake, is what Christians should have done much earlier. It makes sense for some Christian movies to be all focused on Christian messages. Yet there is also a need for more regular content that still incorporates religious sentiment.

I haven't watched the movie yet.

But drowning in debt myself while living in a poor country, I've actually looked at the possibility of signing myself up for the Ukraine conflict fighting for Ukraine.

The salary is sufficient enough to pay for our monthly loan payments and still have a bit left for savings.

And IF I die in the battlefield, the death compensation to be given to a relative of my choice is way more than enough to pay for all our debts.

What is stopping me from going to Ukraine is nobody wants me to go and quite embarrassingly, I can't afford the plane ticket and other expenses to get a Visa for example.

About your question, NO, I won't be joining any "Squid games" UNLESS you also get compensated for dying.

But if something like Squid game guaranteed $100,000 if you die, I'd join. that's enough money to pay off our debt and still leave enough for investments to sustain my mom, my sister, and my niece for their lifetime.
As your English sounds quite fluent I can't imagine why you don't just work online helping others with whatever you're familiar with, with whatever you've worked on and around your whole life. Everyone has skills they can share and help others with. English is always the biggest obstacle but for you there is no obstacle. What country are you in? Can you type fast? (This also helps.) You can even teach English. You won't be making $20/hr unless you're a native English speaker but it sure is better than a certain death. I'm sure you have skills you can help others with. If you are doing that visually you'll need a decent internet connection as well.

I do work online but not very good at it. I'm actually slow due to mental problems and I sometimes miss deadlines. I can't teach English verbally because I'm unable to speak spontaneously due to mental issues. I'm also socially unable to fit for the same reasons.

Most of my income comes from day-trading crypto. I seem decent enough at trading to make a reliable income from it even during "bear" seasons and prices crashing. It doesn't have deadlines and I don't have to deal with people probably why I'm doing okay with it.

Unfortunately, the total income I make is still not enough to breakeven to make the loan payments despite the positive outlook in crypto and Trump winning. I only do low-risk trading and unable to compound my earnings (I keep withdrawing them to pay for loans and daily expenses so sadly, my trading funds kept decreasing instead of increasing).

I live in the Philippines. I can type fast (but don't really know how fast is fast). I never seem to get those jobs. I've seen people who type fast and they're definitely faster than me.

These have started to be put on youtube videos from back in the 80's and 90's. I have enjoyed watching these from my youth. I have not been in a mall (if they are still around) in probably 35 years.
