  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What are you up to today?

Neens, you'll pick up good ones from the Op Shop for a dew cents. They are in perfect condition, many are brand new. Scald them when you get them home.
I picked up some good Tupperware (actual tupperware brand too) from the opshop recently. I just took it home and soaked it in boiling water for a little while.

That's the one!! I took a pic of the cakes in question so we all could have a fun poll!! :D Just imagine the #3 cake turned clockwise 90 degrees and in a bit more of a masculine design ;)
That is exactly the same book. I remember it so well. Shame my parents house burned down, and I had to go and get my own book. ;)

He wants the number 3 with strawberries on it, lol. I want to do the zoo one, becaue a trip to the zoo is his birthday present, this is one child that does NOT need any more toys.

oooh, fogot to add, I moved around furniture today. I am in a real rearranging kind of mood. I can't get out to the garden because it is raining so I rearrange furniture instead. I threw out some stuff, that maybe I shouldn't have thrown out, but we weren't using it, so it can be binned for all I care. Problem is R is a hoarder, I am a thrower. I figure it has been under our bed for 14mths (since we moved in here) so it won't be missed lol. I also think we have too many lounge chairs, but there isn't anywhere else to put them. R doesn't want to give them away, so we have this little "discussion" at least once a month about the lounge chairs. Never mind, one is going to the garage soon to put the Christmas tree up. In less than a month, and when the Christmas tree goes away, that lounge chair ain't coming back. :D

I have a very similar problem with lounge chairs... i want to get rid of two that we NEVER use but my fiancee doesnt want to because he says we may want to use them some time in the future... or one of his brothers might need them when they move out of home. They are just annoying and in the way. Ohwell wont be long and we'll be getting rid of just about everything... cos we are travelling next year.

The problem isn't that they are in the way, they are just ugly. We have 7 seats in the loungeroom. Now I grew up in a family with 5 kids, and we never had more than 5 seats, and a bean bag, but that was it! Not everyone hung out in the loungeroom at the same time. And when we did, well... that's what dining chairs are for lol.

today i went to the music shop i got my guitar from and swapped my distortion pedal for an overdrive pedal (less aggressive distortion). as i will be using it in my churchs band and youth band i dont want it to be too strong. i tried my previous pedal and it overpowered everything else, so ill see how this new pedal goes on sunday :) i might be playing one song on sunday :D (since the last time i didnt get to)

tonight was great! after the last writing class, we went to a pub and chatted. Since i'm not a pub goer, this was my first time going and actually drinking something (pineapple juice that tasted like ice-cream with a bit of alcohol, and i've forgotten about the name already. Maybe you guys would know?)

it was good chatting about things that you know and like. But no way i'm gonna try more alcoholic drink again, i kept feel like throwing up afterwards, and the smoke around didn't help much.

Right now it's almost 8:00 am on Thursday. I am at work (I sneak on here every once in a while to see what's happening :) ). I get off at 3pm. I don't have class tonight (I have class on Monday and Wednesday nights until December 15. I'm working on my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree which I plan on receiving in May of next year). I think I'm just going to rest my brain and watch some t.v. I'll watch The Apprentice and ER.

So nothing too exciting going on today.

Yeh now that i think about it we only had a few chairs too in the lounge room with 6 kids... the dinning room chairs sure were handy.

;) I've got the washing going. A day at home today, so getting this washing done. Going to a fete tomorrow morning if it doesn't rain, so I want to get all this done today.

Will go to the playground later, because it rained all day yesterday. I can hear Daniel outside playing in his sandpit which is full of water from yesterday. It looks more like a swimming pool, but he is singing and having a great time. He's going to need a bath when he's finished though.

Lol, I can see him from here. That's probably why I manage to clock up so many hours on this computer.

He was in that sand for over an hour! Then came in covered in muck, talk about a mess. Got to get that vacuum cleaner out again.

When do magpies stop swooping? There's a pretty viscious one on the grass land area across the road.
It's very frustrating because we don't have much of a backyard for bike riding and I want to take Daniel across the road with his trike.

Lol, the kids next door ride their bikes on the oval, but when I go over there with Daniel, he gets swooped all the time, last week the kids were over there with a ball, so Daniel wants to go with his beach ball (all the others are kind dead now, so a new ball is on the Christy list) so off we go, everyone is having a great time when this maggie comes down, and goes for Daniel. Awful foul thing, it's really bizarre, if we are walking across and he is holding my hand that bird leaves us alone, the minute he runs off, the maggie comes back. Poor Daniel, he runs back screaming "stop sweeping me" At least it's an incentive to keep him close to me, but it's no fun when you can't just go over there and play.

i worked this morning then went shopping... suddenly it was 2 hours later... lol

So i got a nice iced chocolate from GJ's... about to enjoy it when i saw a lady from church who likes to talk and talk and talk... so being the nice friendly person i am i waved and said hello... so what did she do? she sat down and started talking to me...

i had kinda wanted to eat my iced chocolate in peace... but in the end it was nice. i got to sit and have a conversation with someone i wouldnt normally talk to. was good, and i'm glad i did.

still have to work again this arvo... and youth group tonight are having a boy /girls night, then meeting back at church for a sleepover. should be fun :D

lol in our youth group guys have only been allowed in since last week! the main reason that was is because there wasnt any young guys in church, and the girls kept growing and growing, so it was just a girls youth group, but now there are more guys there has been a demand for a youth group and they opened it up to guys! ^_^ and the first one was great fun! its was a dress up night we had to dress up like gangters (the old school type like Al Capone etc) one of the guys had the whole look going on, the hair gelled back, a full suit, toy guns hidden in his coat.. lol it was great!
