I watched Mother! with Jennifer Lawrence recently. It was very interesting, and not for the faint of heart.

Going to finish up the series Roots.

My verdict.. the first episode was good, the second was decent.. and it slowly descended in quality from there. Didn't take slavery serious enough, although from reading the backstory.. the network executives meddled with the program enough because they didn't want to provoke white guilt.

I am against white guilt, and feeling bad for what one ancestors did, but I don't think you need to sanitize history at the same time.

Going to watch the Boondocks tonight. A more overall intelligent show.

As a teenager I once lived off of nothing but gas station food for about two weeks. Long story. AFAIK there were no long-term effects.
