  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Last book I finished: Sons of Cain by Val Bianco, a very good thriller and conspiracy novel with dominant Christian/Catholic themes.

What I am reading now: Back to Virtue by Peter Kreeft, a deep philosophical read about both the state of our society and the individual in regards to Christian virtue. Peter Kreeft never fails to blow my mind with the depth of his philosophy stated in such an understandable way.

The Autobiography of George Fox

You don't happen to be Quaker by any chance, do you? I was brought up as a Quaker, but only read this book a few years ago. I tried reading it on the Kindle initially, but was needing to refer to the notes a lot, which I found difficult to do on the Kindle, so I just read it online instead. It was a good book about an amazing man of God.

What do you think of the book?
