Clive Cussler's 'Inca Gold'
This post caught my eye as I have been reading Victor Wolfgang von Hagen's book The Ancient Sun Kingdoms of the Americas in which he describes the Aztecs, the Maya and the Incas. I have finally reached the Inca section after many months of reading - I just read a little each day.

Is Inca Gold as exciting as it sounds?

I wanted to create a different kind of book, something no one has done before. A unique perspective on the Bible for kids 9-12. Check out the description, tell me what you think!

A story about the first Passover for children (and adults like it too), retold from the perspective of one of the first gentile converts to the Mosaic covenant- an Egyptian boy.

Ready for a different kind of Passover story? Great for most people of faith, join an Egyptian boy as the plagues begin to decimate his land and his family's livelyhood. He discovers first hand the mighty power of the God of the Hebrews which radically changes the way he percieves his own religion and learns to see them as more than just slaves. A story about prejudice, friendship, faith and freedom. Readers have said it has "very original treatment of the subject, never seen a book quite like this" and "I think you should rewrite the entire bible like this- people would understand it better". Also, "there is a richness and depth in this- I can see lots of great family discussions happening because of this book" and "thought provoking".
Diiscussion questions included at the end of the book, for use in homeschools or as a devotional.

In physical book format I'm currently reading, Tarzan Alive: A Definitive Biography of Lord Greystoke. By Philip Jose Farmer, this book book looks at the classic character as if he were a real person. Farmer examins all the original novels and stories. Combining them into a outline showng which adventures were based on actual events, and which were done as fictional stories.
If your a fan of the original Tarzan, then I strongly recommend this one for you.

On my Kindle I'm reading, Dr. Phibes, by William Goldsmith. This is the novelization of the 70's camp classic, The Abominable Dr. Phibes. What makes this a good read is that Goldsmith was also the man who wrote the screenplay for the film. Much richer detail and characters then what was presented in the film.
