Ummm I'm in the church's praise n worship team so its not really a band to go out n do stuff... But we played for about 400 at my high school, over 400 on Sundays, 100 on Wednesdays, between 800-1000 at the town park like all the time, but my favorite so far isnt the biggest. It was the National Fine Arts Festival in Washington, D.C. last year!!! we probably played for 500 in both choir and praise n worship. We're going back to nationals this year in Austin, TX in just a few weeks, so I'm looking forward to playing again! :D

OK... in terms of plain numbers, excluding worship...
- high school musical, 3 nights, combined audience of about 2500.
- final year of high school, played bass for our Awards night in front of 1000+
BUT... my faves... serving in church... our church has about 200 members. In ministry from our church... and we rarely go outside the church... BUT...
- Combined churches' event nearly 6 years back, played bass in front of 600+
- This year, outreach in the mall in our hometown, about 500+ people - over 100 in the amphitheatre itself but many many more passers by.
- just last month had our first combined youth meeting, with 2 others groups, and over 100 turned up!!!

the biggest gig for me is supposed to be next week in daytona beach, fla. the largest audience i ever played in front of was around 25,000 at the hoover met in birmingham alabama. i played with jim nelson and some other percussionists like myself with an audience of 7,000 or so. that was a humbling exerience. i can't imagine being as good of a musician as jim. he's great to work with, but hard to keep up with him. of course, my smallest gig was an audience of about 7 or 8..... hehehehe.... i've had plenty of those too. the larger ones were usually sporting events explaining the large numbers. my friend's dad's biggest gig was with john melanchamp and his friend also played with him. he's also great to work with and has helped me a whole lot.

Hmmm...

I used to play in front of a church of around ~600 people... I played at the local Carols by Candlelight three years in around in front of crowds of around 2000 people (or so I hear). With my old band change of pace, we played at one gig where there were easily 1000 people, we played a couple at schools with obviously crowds of a few hundred.

My old drum teacher and his band Coastal Front played at the gates to the NSW State of Origin at Olympic Stadium a couple of months back ;). He's a champion drummer, absolutely incredible. So I think he's probably beaten all of us!! And he's a Christian too.
