I'm not as happy with the current "lame duck"/campaign series that's being produced right now. I think it lacks the real impact of what the Bartlett presidency was trying to achieve. In the beginning when Rob Lowe, et al were on the show it was high energy, fast paced and titillating. I'm curious to see just who is going to move into the presidency and I'm wondering . . . is Sheen leaving??? Oh, and frequently Bravo runs West Wing episodes from the beginning all the way up to the present and they run old episodes of the show every evening (in case you've missed any). Yeah, I like Toby...especially when he was interim Press Secretary! Did you know Richard Schiff was in the movie "Ray?" He was one of the record producers. = ) I've always been a Donna-fan. It's good to see her out on her own and not just somebody's receptionist. Yeah! What's Alan Aldas's chracter name? Not Hoynes...hmm.AngelAmidala said:I'll have to admit....I'm having a hard time really getting into the season now that we're spending so much time "on the road" with the Democratic nominees....mostly because I'm a huge Richard Schiff fan and I miss seeing Toby every week.hehe...but I really am liking how involved and outspoken Donna is becoming working on the VP's campaign.
Though I did like the episode a month or so ago where we saw the same "day" from different views of some of the nominee campaigns...the VP's, Matt Santos, whoever Alan Alda's playing (I forget the character's name)...I thought that was rather well done.

Vinick! That sounds right. = ) So Santos might not win, huh? Well then I'm pulling for the current VP then...good old what's-his-name! He is running, right?valentine said:Alda plays Senator Vinick (sp?) from California. I like Santos (Smits) better. Alda only signed on for something like 10 episodes, so I'm thinking he won't win the presidential race. It'll be interesting to see how this goes because in real life it is uncommon for any party to win two campaigns and then get their man in the White House again -- so, ladies and gents, I guess we'll need to be thinking about what democrat will end up in the white house for real next term.![]()

My sister told me that. She said to me, "I was watching 'Ray' and this guy just sounded familiar...he sounded like Toby...but he didn't have the beard. But I looked and it was him!" LOL...she also didn't recognize him in The Lost World (aka Jurassic Park 2)....without the beard.
Me too! I mean, it's great to see the enormity of what she has to remember and juggle and do for a person like Josh to make his life easier and manageable....because I wish I could keep things in order like her! But it's great to see her take those things and be able to apply them elsewhere.
hehe...thank you valentine who remembered his name!![]()
Keep it! And spread it around...valentine said:Yepvery catchy. Mind if I borrow it Wednesday night?
Hawkeye for President!valentine said:From TV Guide: Martin Sheen confirmed at the TCA winter press tour this morning that he is near a deal to return to The West Wing for the first half of next season through the end of President Bartlet's second term. Potential Bartlet successors Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda are also slated to return for the seventh season, although exec producer John Wells has yet to decide which will become the next president. Meanwhile, Home Improvement's Patricia Richardson is joining the cast as Alda's campaign manager. Hmmmm -- how would you feel about Alan Alda as President Vinick?
Also sounds Romulan...valentine said:President Hawkeye sounds better than President Vinick -- Vinick has that gagging kind of sound -- like a throwupnoise. Blechhh -- can't believe I said that.

I completely agree. I was gonna post all the same comments!valentine said:Anybody watch last night's episode? Opinions, hmmmm???? Well, since you asked, here's mine: great show -- finally we got to get off that old campaign trail and see a little more of Jedediah and the Under Secretary of State (Kate I believe). I never really cared for Kate until I saw a little more of her story last night. Quite interesting -- almost reminiscent of Lost, she and Leo have a past!!!! OOOOOOH that could have some potential for some good programs in the future.![]()
