I just woke up from a strange dream. It was about my boyfriend I just broke up with. He was involved in new age practices, so that’s most likely why God split us up. We were head over heels for each other and In love but God knows he wasn’t the one. I’m still recovering from the heartbreak.

The dream starts where I’m eating dinner with his family. Everything is going well and his mom and I are getting along great. (He’s a mommas boy btw) I leave to go to the restroom and she starts going through my bag to find SOMETHING wrong with me but she couldn’t since I always carry around a bible and my dream notebook. For some odd reason my clothes kept randomly coming off. I had no pants one second, and the next I wouldn’t have a top.

I go to the restroom again and find them all in a circle with chairs in the backyard talking, he was crying explaining how hurt he really was over this breakup. He then begins to breakdown hysterically, then it turns into anger. He asked them to do “the treatment” I was so confused watching this. They knew I was standing there and they put him on a post and began to burn him. He didn’t burn though, his soul fed on the fire and it was almost as if he did that to regain his energy.

His mom all of a sudden puts her hands on me to initiate it onto me. I quickly told her to stop, but they all tried to put their hands on me. I felt so helpless, but I heard a voice say, “Do not be afraid my child, use your voice” I started to sing praise and worship music, oddly they all joined along and followed me as I walked away. They were distracted but I have no idea why they would sing along to something like that.

Later on, him and I talked alone, but I can still feel that energy source all around him and it felt dark. We talked about our breakup and he reassured me that he really did hurt after it even though it appeared to me that he didn’t. I felt so emotional and confused, even after seeing that I loved him still and wanted to talk to him.

I woke up with a huge headache. What could this mean??

I believe that it means 'stay away from him' even though you still love him, Peachy.

It follows that if you can fall in love, then you can fall out of love.

That's the wrong family to grow with.

First, grow with Jesus people, including much more mature seniors and senior couples so you can feed on their example of how to relate and evaluate.

You are not perfect to know yourself as well as God does. But you might look at what made you able to fall for someone who does not know God. Because you could get tricked like this, with someone else.

And your ways of evaluating can effect how you do other things, too. So, pray and read your Bible and see how God's word says for us to relate and share with God and as His family with our various brothers and sisters. And do not isolate with some one other person, in order to supposedly use him to make all your dreams come true.

We can expect too much of some one other person. We need to humble ourselves plus humble anyone we are close to, and depend mainly on God.

It’s just a dream. It’s stuff floating around in your subconscious poking into your brain while you sleep. Some of it’s wishful thinking. It’s coming from inside of you, not from outside of you.

I have heard a lot of occult testimonies that sound just like this. I don't know if it's a normal dream or an occult intrusion, but in either case the correct response is to plead the Blood of Christ, pray for His protection and trust in his providence over your life while rejecting the dream as a lie.

Hi Peachy, were you intending for your quote to say something else? I'm just wondering since the actual quote you've provided doesn't match your citation. Just an f.y.i.

    Have a great day!

I am new to this. Do not fret too much about dreams. You can take them 'under advisement'. That means you can effect your actions and reactions only while awake.

Your soul is expressing torment and reassuring you at the same time. I am assuming you were fornicating out of wedlock. This is your soul expressing itself being torn apart. And yes he may have a covenant with evil spirits. But did you know that any time you let another in you or (for men) enter into another this binds your souls and tethers you to one another?

God made woman (Eve [Chava]) from Adam's rib (Genesis 2:22). Eve in Hebrew means 'life'. Adam in Hebrew means 'made', 'earth'. Woman compliments and completes man. "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). We are whole in God's eyes when we are in union but to hold Him above our love for each other.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" (Mark 12:30). We must love God over each other lest we idolize one another and forget that it is to glorify and praise Him for providing us a union with which we can offer Him a more complete and much higher praise. We can do this because our two souls which were once together, and then separated, were again rejoined to provide might that we cannot even fathom(see 1 Corinthians 12:27 and John 1:1-5<---Read this several times). This is to His glory and His alone.

I suspect this is why your soul was tormented following this breakup. Please repent to Jesus and surrender yourself to Him and Him alone. The Lord will provide a bounty and fill you up with the Holy Spirit until another should be placed in your path, but you must walk in The Path--the way, the truth, the life.

Maybe consider sacrificing something up to The Lord. This could be chastity (which includes masturbation), gluttony, or anything else you can think of to make yourself more holy in His eyes. And remember, God loves you very very much; He wrote you a love letter called 'The Bible'.

Many blessings and I will keep you in my prayers, Peachy.

Blessings in Christ Jesus! It appears you have the gift of discernment of spirits. My, my, at such a young age. This means that your walk has to be very close to The Lord. The voice in your dream was The Lord, but what He meant was not to sing, but to rebuke and to proclaim who you are in Him out load. Losing your clothes means to uncover your nakedness. The headache comes from the presence of the demonic as you slept and it seems that new age stuff is actually witchcraft directed towards you. The dream was a revealing of sorts to that which was not seen because love(or what we think is love) sometimes blinds the eyes. "Stand firm in The Lord and let no man steal your joy!" Be Blessed little one!

Sounds like he was genuinely hurt, but implies him and his family may be harmful to you.

I remember when David played music, that King Saul's evil spirits were soothed. So when you sing, they sing...but those spirits are still there....King Saul still tried to kill David. It was a harmful relationship...

So sorry for your boyfriend. I pray God helps you in this situation...

Rather than just dismissing them as you have done, if people learn to discern, they will find that God regularly speaks through dreams.
Throughout the thousands of years of the scriptures, this has always been the case. It has also been the same for many decades for my wife and I.

In an abstract way, you’re kinda right. Dreams come from the subconscious. If you believe that God is inside of you, then I guess you can say it’s God telling you something. It’s your subconscious though.

That's like saying a beautiful view exists only in your eyeballs.
Certainly, the eyeball is where the view is first registered, but it also exists in the real world.
Likewise, if a dream comes from God, then it already exists in God and our subconscious is merely where it gets first registered, prior to our waking consciousness grasping it.

For many decades, my wife and I have experienced many dreams from the Lord, so this is not mere theorising.
God has used those dreams to give us direction in this life, to reveal secrets, and to reveal spiritual truths.

You believe that dreams come from God. I believe that they come from the subconscious. We each contributed our opinions.

I am stating scriptural principle, not opinion.
Quite obviously, not all dreams come from God, but your starting position that all dreams come from the subconscious, is a contradiction of countless scriptures.

How do you distinguish which dreams come from the subconscious, and which dreams come from God?

I believe both and have both I believe. I know I have had enemy dreams too...it takes a great deal of discernment to know which is which. But it takes discernment in waking life situations also to know what is from God and what isn't.

Ultimately, spiritual discernment is what you need.

I agree that many dreams are as you say, driven by the garbage in our subconscious.

But dreams from the Lord usually reveal something of significance. The dreams might be straight forward, or like the parables of Jesus, requiring interpretation. I have received both, many times over.

One time I had a serious engineering problem in my business which could have cost me a great deal of money. Experts had been consulted but neither they, nor my staff could work out what was happening. The additional problem was that we were facing a deadline to complete the project.

But I had been praying and was confident that God would reveal the solution.

Then in the middle of all the rushing around I had a vivid dream. In it I saw my large yellow spirit level resting on top a particular section of the pipework. I woke with a start, leapt out of bed, got dressed and raced across town to the site.
As soon as I placed my spirit level on those pipes, I could see they were misaligned causing an airlock. Despite lots of people going through the system bit by bit, nobody had seen it, but God did, and He then showed me.

Needless to say, it was fixed that morning and everything worked perfectly, and the customer was happy.
