We are mobilizing our military with the expectation of having a vaccine by the end of the year

I am far from a fan of Trump, but I don't think it's a fair assessment. If the disease is bad enough, the risk of the vaccine may be worth it and you'd want to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. The military would be necessary to do that - they have the logistical for it.

Garbage. The military is not needed. In fact they are poorly equipped for a mass vaccination. Perhaps if there was a near total breakdown of society and the vaccine in question needed refrigeration. But in the real world vaccines generally do not present a logistical problem to distribute. Also from an epidemiological perspective one does not need to vaccinate every single person. Missing some people that are hard to get to is not a significant issue. The harder tehy are to get to teh less apt they are to be in contact with someone who is infected.

Consider what Samoa did during their recent measles outbreak. They avoided vaccination centers as those would have resulted in people being exposed when they went there to get vaccinated. Huge centers is the military idea of efficiency.

Thats because you don't try to vaccinate 350 million people in a matter of weeks. By comparison we do about 3 million doses of flu vaccine every year over a 3 month period. We want to do 100x's as many in 5% of the time. Also if 10% of the US population is infected at this point (a reasonable guesstimate) then you would have 70 million infected people walking through doctor's offices, pharmacies, and hospitals. You don't want that.

The CDC gives a very different answer.

e said it in an interview but not the point.

. I have never gotten the flu shot and would not get a covid vaccine. Why would I get a vaccine rushed through trials as quickly as possible. It takes about 2 years to fully test a new vaccine. Yes I am making a lot of guesses that’s the point of my post I’m being subjective on purpose to create responses.
If you are speaking for yourself and making guesses, state it as such. It’s sloppy to throw conjecture out as fact. You learn that in middle school writing class.

The government could set up mobile centers or use parking lots as they are with testing to administer the shot.
Which is exactly what I envision the military doing, setting up the sites and manning them.

Local pharmacies would want the business they’re paid a percentage of every shot they give by the government.
But we’re already paying the military - and the shots should be free to the public.

If the vaccine were made to be mandatory that is a clear violation of law and if the military was brought in to enforce that fact it will cause a problem.
. But no one has proposed the military “enforcing” it. That’s a conspiracy theory (Military being used against citizens) that’s been going around forever and never has happened when people said it would. Like those FEMA camps...

There is about 2-3% of crazies within the ranks of the military that would greatly enjoy a situation like that but the other 97-98% would put them in check very quickly.
EXACTLY! The military rank and file genuinely want to protect U.S. citizens, not harm us! They aren’t going to turn, en masse, against family and friends! So what are you worried about if you know they won’t go along with orders to harm us?

Wow, I googled how many doses of flu each year and came up with 3 million, that appears incorrect. Still those doses are distributed over a season, which would be at least 90 days, and even in the most extreme year they distributed half what we are going to want to, so if you wanted to vaccinate everyone in 2 weeks you are still looking at 12 times what we have done previously. And if 10% of the population is contagious you would still have 35 million people walking through pharmacies, hospitals and doctor offices. And why? You are only doing one thing -- vaccinating people and making a record of who is vaccinated. Why not set up in schools which are closed anyway, have the national guard and military come in, do the vaccinations (after they themselves have been vaccinated of course) and then disinfect the buildings. Also if you are going to do this free, which you would have to, it isn't fair to force these businesses to bear the brunt of that cost, nor is it fair to take over their business while you do it.

1-the link is in my initial post

2-from my opening statement to my last has progressed just fine. You learn not to be subjective and make logical or educated guesses starting in middle school. Not sure exactly what your even talking about here.

3-are you making a guess here

4-not sure your point here either, why would we pay the military. Vaccines are created by publicly owned companies like let’s say Johnson and Johnson and fast pharmed by a company like let’s say IBIO. Pharmaceutical companies who create the vaccines are those who would be paid.

5-I’ve always asked this question subjectively as a what if, which I’m allowed to do despite your middle school training.

6-who said I was worried about anything I asked a question to see what others think about the subject, thanks for your response.

Posse Comitatus Would not specifically apply here but this would in my opinion loose him the election. He has a way of stating two opposing opinions as one opinion, but this is a clear violation of rights if made mandatory that would not be able to be justified.

Do you think vaccine doses spring instantly from the head of Minerva? Vaccine production is no more magical than toilet paper production, actually probably less so as TP production just needs simple raw materials and running a production line round the clock.

Perhaps you have slept through the last few flu seasons. When a bad year was expected there has not been nearly enough vaccine available at first. A few years ago my employer had vaccinations available at work, due in part to difficulties getting vaccinated.

Every single major supermarket near me has shown that they are able to deal with long lines and still keep people 6 feet apart. The military has no track record in doing that. Few (if any outside of the MPs and SPs) have any experience or training in crowd control.

Save where military facilities provide a good platform for vaccinations the military is a poor choice of primary provider. Unless of course Trump wants to keep control of available vaccine doses to reward his followers and punish any who speak up about his foolishness.

A Trump controlled military supervision of vaccine administration is one more disaster waiting to happen. If it happens one facility will be overrun and the next one will be empty.

Though it would be interesting to see the reception in Idaho.

Wow, I had no idea it was so easy, if that is the case why can't they make enough masks and personal protective gear?

Absolutely, I never get vaccinated, and I had no idea that so many people did.

I don't think I want the cashier at the local grocery station giving me a vaccine. If that isn't your point it seems completely irrelevant to the discussion.

Save where military facilities provide a good platform for vaccinations the military is a poor choice of primary provider. Unless of course Trump wants to keep control of available vaccine doses to reward his followers and punish any who speak up about his foolishness.
What a mean thing to say. He is the one with all the good ideas. He was the one who suggested that the blue states inject themselves with bleach.

A Trump controlled military supervision of vaccine administration is one more disaster waiting to happen. If it happens one facility will be overrun and the next one will be empty.
He promised to make America Great again, and that is what all his supporters want to see. It starts with a Great, I mean a really Great depression. If you remember that was a key component of the "Greatest Generation". I bet you feel pretty foolish for mocking him. He is delivering on His promises.

That is what scares me he won't be satisfied until he has supervised the greatest pandemic ever.

That video says nothing of using the military for enforcement, rather it reinforces that he intends to use to military to administer the vaccine.

2-from my opening statement to my last has progressed just fine. You learn not to be subjective and make logical or educated guesses starting in middle school. Not sure exactly what your even talking about here.
I’m talking about you making statements as if they were fact, and then saying they were subjective guesses afterwards when questioned.

3-are you making a guess here
I was clear. I said it’s what I envisioned.

4-not sure your point here either, why would we pay the military. Vaccines are created by publicly owned companies like let’s say Johnson and Johnson and fast pharmed by a company like let’s say IBIO. Pharmaceutical companies who create the vaccines are those who would be paid.
Seriously? We’re already paying the military. Did you think they were volunteers? The vaccine should be purchased by the federal government (ideally it will be donated by whomever develops it) and it should be made available to all Americans at no cost. Having it distributed by public employees makes sense, to the extent it is possible.

5-I’ve always asked this question subjectively as a what if, which I’m allowed to do despite your middle school training.
. Look, I’ve heard that many times from conspiracy theorists when pressed for evidence or examples. It’s good to have theories and question things, but if you want to be taken seriously, and actually stop or prevent the new world order or whatever, you’ve got to do research and get to the bottom of things. Do actual research, find evidence, and then share it. “Asking questions” is just playing around. It can actually be harmful to post a bunch of unfounded stuff that makes people unnecessarily fearful.

6-who said I was worried about anything I asked a question to see what others think about the subject, thanks for your response.
If 95% of the military wouldn’t participate in (what you are calling) a coup, then the Illuminati ppl wouldn’t be making a plan that involves that. They’re not stupid. If you aren’t worried, then you know this isn’t actually going to happen. You’re “question” Is answered, yet you still post all of this stuff that could cause people stress and worry. It’s not a good time. Just write a movie script or something.

Would it be considered assault to vaccinate someone against their will at gunpoint? I'm just asking.

Goodness gracious! Vaccinating people, against their will, at gunpoint? Is Nicholas Cage in this movie? Are the military guys all wearing gas masks? Should we throw in a mark of the beast?

the military would not fire upon the U.S. population.

Don't be so sure about that. They fired on protesting students at Kent State and Col. Douglas MacArthur ordered his troops to fire on protesting WW1 vets in Washington DC. They did.

You do know all those guys are dead or in nursing homes now, right? All the frontline soldiers today are snowflake Millennials and Gen-Zers, with a topping of X-gen leadership.

IOW, it's a different military.

Once a vaccine becomes available and manufactured it's a big job, 350 million + vaccines. Even considering some people will decline getting one, anti-vaxxers really aren't that large a group... I think the state with the worst vaccination % runs around 88-89% vaccination rate, which is still fairly high, although not as high as public health would like (as the goal is 95%)..

But even if there are far lower rates of those getting this vaccine, even half the country is a massive undertaking when you want it to occur in a short a time frame as possible. It's not easy vaccinating 175 million or so..

You kind of want every available hand for that, whether that's help in shipping, in manufacturing and stocking, whether that's help with the paper work involved, or giving the vaccines, regardless of the help given, it's a massive undertaking and many will be wanting vaccinated the second it's available, without much patience in delays. Some will be quick to sue if they don't get it quickly... so it's kind of a major thing here.

Well he is off to a very promising start.

I don't think he will pass the top 2. But he just might manage the worst in U.S. history since the Bubonic Plague and Smallpox had their peak years before the U.S. had much of a population.
