What is an "evolutionist"?

Oh, please.

If an evolutionist is defined as someone who always comes up with common origins as an answer, then if the evolutionist exists, the answer to your question will always be yes, regardless of how nonsensical that would be in the situation.

Then don't tell me it doesn't make sense and expect me to accept it.

It's a hypothetical.

Some make sense, some don't.

Didn't some famous scientist come up with an invisible purple dragon in a garage scenario?

I doubt you could find such a person in real life.

And that means you can't answer a question the way it was written?

Q: Did Humpty Dumpty sit on the Great Wall of China?
  1. Humpty Dumpty is a nursery rhyme, so the question doesn't make sense.
  2. No one believes Humpty Dumpty was real, therefore I can't answer that.
  3. I don't know. The wall in the nursery rhyme isn't named.
Which answer is the most academic?

Let's try YES.

You assumed I was speaking of dates on a calendar.

But mathematically, 31 base 8 equals 25 base ten.

Remember this doosey?

Two plus two, it is not ten.
It is not ten, no matter when.
It is not ten, not here or there.
It is not ten, not anywhere.

And the reply I gave?

Two plus two indeed are ten.
Unless you're confused as to exactly when.
For two plus two are ten and no more.
If you're adding two plus two in the base of four.

I didn't say the situation was nonsensical, I said the answer of "yes" would be nonsensical under the hypothetical situation. But if the evolutionist is someone who would always answer yes to such a question, then that's the answer we'll get.

I think the most academic answer would be: No, Humpty Dumpty was a European character, and the references to a king's horses and men don't fit the region either. Considering the origins, Humpty Dumpty should be sitting on a wall in England someplace.

An unexplained question deserves an unexplained answer. You're making an assumption of why I said "no" that may be entirely unjustified.
