Funny story -- 221B Baker St. wasn't a real address when Arthur Conan Doyle was alive and writing, but during WWII, Baker Street got blasted flat during the Blitz, and when it was rebuilt, 221B became a real address, and is now the official site of the Sherlock Holmes Museum.

My understanding is that the State of Israel was established in 1948 after the civil war in Mandatory Palestine.
