Many believers interpret the bible according to their own priors (predispositions), effectively projecting their own truths onto it. Their reading is correct because it feels so right; it validates their personal truths. So what makes you sooo sure your reading is perfect?
That you cannot possibly be misreading the bible?

A literal interpretation would put an end to that, wouldn't it?Many believers interpret the bible according to their own priors (predispositions), effectively projecting their own truths onto it.
Ive been told that God guides their readin', effectively
making them infallible.

I danced in the morningLord of the Dance - and a merry old dance it is, too...
I danced in the morning
When the world was begun,
And I danced in the moon
And the stars and the sun,
And I came down from heaven
And I danced on the earth,
At Bethlehem
I had My birth.
Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said He,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said He
I danced for the scribe
And the pharisee,
But they would not dance
And they wouldn't follow Me.
I danced for the fishermen,
For James and John
They came with Me
And the Dance went on.
Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said He,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said He
I danced on the Sabbath
And I cured the lame;
The holy people
Said it was a shame.
They whipped and they stripped
And they hung Me on high,
And they left Me there
On a Cross to die.
Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said He,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said He
I danced on a Friday
When the sky turned black
It's hard to dance
With the devil on Your back.
They buried My body
And they thought I'd gone,
But I am The Dance,
And I still go on.
Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said He,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said He
They cut Me down
And I leapt up high;
I AM The Life
That'll never, never die;
I'll live in you
If you'll live in Me -
I am the Lord

Not really - as you rightly say, even a literal reading is an interpretation, and interpretations depend on deciding the meaning and intent of words and phrases.A literal interpretation would put an end to that, wouldn't it?
It would certainly help though, wouldn't it?Not really - as you rightly say, even a literal reading is an interpretation, and interpretations depend on deciding the meaning and intent of words and phrases.

Can you actually support this with any specifics and the context of his work?Darwin himself expressed deep doubts about his own speculations and suppositions. If we look at Darwin's work and its inaccuracies from a logical perspective. We will discover the often ignored reasoning behind his own abandonment of some of the core mechanisms of evolution later in his life, though they remain unchallenged pillars of unquestioning science today. This informative and easy-to-read study boldly declares the powerful truth that only biblical creation can explain.

You can cut flatworms in two and two flatworms will result - one grows a whole new head. The information to grow a flatworm is what evolved over millions of years. They have the advantage of being able use that information to regenerate parts of mature individuals. We can only use it to regenerate parts of certain organs (skin, liver, blood, etc). We now have some understanding of the mechanisms involved, so it's possible that we'll be able to work out how to regenerate more tissues after damage.Found an interesting fact about the flatworm.
apparently, if you cut one of their eyes off, it will grow back. This doesn't take millions of years to 'evolve'.
All living creatures have been evolving for the same length of time - flatworms are as evolved as we are. They're not as complex as we are. Broadly, the more complex the organism, the less capacity for regeneration it has.How advanced for an un-evolved creature...bet a human being can't do that. Or any mammal/animal for that matter.
Clearly not - we're primates, mammals, vertebrates; flatworms are platyhelmithes, invertebrates. Not so similar to creeping beasts after all, are we?
Haven't read it, but I've looked over a couple of commentaries... and I'm unimpressed.Secrets of the sixth edition-
