  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

All sorts of games really. I've played video games ever since I was old enough to pick up a controller. rofl. But right now I'm playing Counter-Strike: Source online. I'm the head of a clan and we have our own server. Also, I'm playing Oblivion, The Sims 2, Final Fantasy XII (not X-2 lol) as well as Tomb Raider Legends. But I'm interested in all types of games. :) Except MMO's like World of Warcraft. haha. Couldn't get into those. I have many consoles (Xbox, Playstation2, Sega etc.) and have at least 20 games for each so yeah, you name it, chances are I've played it. haha.

As far as music goes.....Christian contemporary rock all the way! Rebecca St. James, Newsboys, DC Talk (when they were together), Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Mark Schultz, and lately I've been checking out some of Jeremy Camp. But I also like some '70's music and of course the Beatles. (who doesn't like the Beatles? haha)

I play CS:S on my PC. It's not the best PC in the world, but it works! lol. I'm not fond of First-person-shooters for consoles. On the PC they're a lot easier to control and your aim is way better. :p

I've never heard any of Day of Fire or Red. But I'm always eager to hear other artists and songs. Music is one of my passions.

The only game I would play is CS on X-box, really don't have much time to do that. If you checkout those 2 bands, let me know what you think. I've seen both in concert, muy bueno.

Been to any Chrisitan rock concerts?

Sweet yeah I'll check them out. And no, I haven't been to any Christian rock concerts. :( I'd love to go to some, but most of my friends (Christian and non-Christian) live in other states and I'm too chicken to go by myself. Plus, what's a concert without friends eh? lol. Oh and one band I forgot to mention....Third Day! I'd love to see them in concert!

Yeah I never enabled my Xbox to go online. I just play online with my PC. Actually I haven't played CS for Xbox. Is it pretty good? The FPS's I've played for consoles were more like Medal of Honor type games, plus some James Bond of course. heh.

Where are you from?
I'm from California. The Bay Area. My house is about an hour away from San Francisco......in good traffic. LOL

What do you do?
I'm currently working part-time as a "computer operator" for a financial management company. Basically I do a LOT of paperwork. It's not bad, but I love to write so I'm working on a novel right now. Hopefully (and God-willing) I'll finish it and get it published and become an author full-time.

What brings you to CF?
I did a Google search for Christian PenPals and came across CF. haha. I used to have a penpal a long time ago and it was really fun. I wanted to make some Christian friends! :D

How long have you been and how did you become a Christian?
I was raised in a Christian home and became a Christian when I was a little girl. I don't remember what age. And I got baptized when I was 14. I've been totally committed to God ever since! :holy:

We have some pretty good players in my clan. We're in TWL right now (Team Warfare League) and if we can get enough people to want to do it, we may go CAL. My clan is pretty much a clan of friends who love the game though. We just like hanging out together and pwning eachother. hehe. No, it's not all girls. Actually I'm the only girl in my clan. lol. We're from all over the United States so only a few of us have ever met in real life, but we see eachother on the server every night and we've become friends. So....yeah....my clan is great! lol

No, unfortunately I was too young for the Quake phenomenon. :( But many in my clan have played it and they say it was awesome. I'm bummed I missed out on it. lol. Actually I'm pretty new to online play. Most of my experience up until 2 years ago had been consoles and offline PC games. As far as other FPS's, I tried to play BF2 on my computer and my computer hated it. LOL. Even on the lowest settings I was lagging all over the place. So I'm pretty much stuck in the "my computer is good but not THAT good" phase. But back in the day, I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein and a couple of the Rainbow Six games. I've played many of the Medal of Honor games, and I enjoy the mods for Half-Life2 (Goldeneye, Garry's mod, Battlegrounds) stuff like that. I'm pretty much up for any new game as long as I have the console for it or my comp can handle the thing. haha.

Is your clan mainly west coast?

Actually, we're from all over the US. We have members in Virginia, Texas, Kansas, California, Washington, Missouri, even one in Canada. lol. Our server is located in Dallas Texas though. Kinda in the middle so we all get good ping.

How'd you get into gaming?

Blame my cousin and my younger brother for that! lol. When I was younger, my cousin gave me and my brother his old Activision set with like 30 games for it. And then when the novelty wore off on that of course we had to get an NES. We were doomed to become gamers. As for my brother, he got me involved in online games. So that part is his fault. LOL. Can't say I mind. I'm hooked now! :D

Do you like any other semi-umm, geeky :) things, such as anime and comic books?

I used to be real into Pokemon cards when I was younger. rofl. Don't repeat that! Actually I still have a binder full of Pokemon cards stashed in my room somewhere. I'm also a book worm. Fiction all the way. Historical fiction is my favorite. Yeah yeah, I like to travel to the past. lol. Never really got into anime and comic books. Oh yeah and I'm a Harry Potter fan (all the books, all the movies). That's pretty geeky.....right? LOL

Is there any bunnyhopping at all in CS source?

Actually yeah there is. I can't do it though. lol. And it's actually illegal to do it in competitions such as TWL or CAL matches. It's considered cheating. But feel free to do it on the pub servers! It's hard but not impossible.

Oh boy that's a tough one. I pretty much watched whatever was on. LOL. But I do remember there was one show I loved watching "Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers". rofl! Anybody remember that show? Probably not. They were little chipmunks and they were detectives. Really really corny show, but I loved it when I was a kid. haha.

Hey, that was interesting last night. I'll be stopping by some more (probably tonight). I would have said goodbye last night but my CS crashed when I tried to go to a lower resolution. I really need some practice detecting characters on my screen and otherwise telling one team from the other. :)

Some qs...

What is your favorite food?

Do you attend church? How often?

Are you a happy single?

LOL yeah, it can be hard telling one team apart from the other. Just takes practice. It was good to see ya on there last night though! ;) Oh by the way! Thanks for the blessings so I could make my CF character!!! :D It does look strangely like me. :p

My favorite food......I'd have to say homemade wontons. lol. My family has the best recipe for wontons. Oh my gosh! Ok I'm craving them now. As for type of food.....I'd say Chinese food or authentic Mexican. Taco Bell is good and all, but if you really want Mexican food you gotta go to the small family-owned places. We have one here called New Mecca. Dang....now I'm craving Mexican food. Gah! LOL

I'm not currently attending a church. There are a lot of churches out here whose teachings are not Biblically sound. God says to test all things against the Bible to see if it's true or not and some of the words coming out of the pastor's/reverend's mouths are not true. I don't want to go to a church where the Bible isn't taught correctly. I can't grow from that. So I'm currently not going to church. I'm reading my Bible and doing Bible studies. I have heard of another church that I may check out. It has a service on Saturday night which is cool because I'm totally not a morning person. ROFL! So yeah I'll probably check that out. :)

Am I happy single? As much as I can be. I have never wanted a huge career or anything like that. I've always wanted to be a wife and a stay-at-home mom for my future children. So I do have a longing in my heart for that life. To say that I'm not happy wouldn't be quite true. I'm happy, but I could be more happy. If that makes any sense whatsoever. hahaha. So yeah, I'm ok, but I really would like to meet someone special and fall in love and settle down to a life with him and a family of my own.
