f this happened, it could have inspired the story of Noah's Flood but it doesn't agree with the Biblical narrative that the Ark landed at high altitude on Mt. Ararat.

The Bible doesn't say it landed on Mt. Ararat at all. It says "the mountains of Ararat". The ancient land of Urartu, modern day Armenia.

There are some geological issues with the Black Sea Flood being the flood of Noah, but it did happen at about the right time in the right place.

That is easily explained in the sense that we are looking at two different genealogies; Joseph's genealogy in Matthew and Mary's in Luke.

Except they are both explicitly said to be through Joseph. So that won't work.

All you need is faith in Jesus. The Bible can't save anyone.

This is true. Theology saves no one. A heart turned to God and your fellow man, that will save you, according to Jesus.

Luk 3:23 Jesus was about thirty years old when He began his ministry. He was the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,

Perhaps the phrase "as was supposed" gives us a way to consider that Heli was actually Mary's father, Joseph's father-in law.

One possible explanation is that Mary's father was also named Joseph. There may have been a mixup with both her dad and husband having the same name.

I was looking at some ruins in South America, some in Middle East, and some in Asia that are all very ancient and all have very similar design. Puma Punku, and things like that. I think there is a possibility these ruins and many others around the world may have been built before the flood. Baalbek is another example.

Or it means that God was Jesus' father, not Joseph. One of those things.

The problem with that, is the pyramids in S. America were built in historical times. The people who built them, had written records of such things.

And of course, if you want to build really tall stone buildings,it turns out that a pyramid is the most efficient and stable way to do it.

The Mayans and Toltec had written records yes. But I was thinking of the Inca. When the Spaniards arrived they marvelled at the structures they assumed the Inca had built. But an Incan king admitted they didn't build them. He said giants built them a long time ago and the Inca just moved into the ruins.

Machu Pichu, Puma Punku, and Saksayhuamen in particular are very interesting (pardon the spelling). One ruin has an ancient ship harbor, high in the Andes mountains, where no ships are anywhere close. The mountains either rose way up, or the water dropped way down. Creationists generally believe that after the flood waters receded, there was an ice age that trapped a lot of water at the poles and highlands. This caused the sea level to be about 300' lower. If the ship harbor was built after the flood, it would have to have been immediately after. But I doubt that very much.

The Britons had the same stories about Stonehenge and other neolithic monuments. Neolithic people were no less intelligent than we are, and were capable of remarkable feats of engineering.

I'd like to hear more about that Andean harbor. Got any links?

It's noteworthy that before the climate changing drought that apparently caused the city to be abandoned, Lake Titicaca extended to Tiwanaku. So that would explain boat slips.

I thought so too. But apparently that was 15,000 years ago by their estimate. This makes these ruins the oldest on Earth. Not that I agree with the date they picked, but later in the article they make a case for that region originally being connected to the ocean. The lake was not just a lake. Which is kind of crazy considering how high it is.

But the thing is, if this was built after the flood, it would put it in the ice age. Which would mean that entire valley would've been frozen solid. No lake. Just glacier. So if they built it after the ice age, then it's too young to match. So either way they try to date it, it's a mystery.

There's underwater ruins in a lot of places too. Which are not necessarily pre-deluge, but it leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

Some in the Caribbean, some near Japan, one big one in the Atlantic, west of Gibraltar. And others.

There's also the rumour that the Sphynx is actually the oldest monument in Egypt, and was built during an age when torrential rains were common instead of the desert we have today. There is also rumored to be an underground city beneath the Sphynx, called City of the Gods. Yeah yeah, I know just rumors right? Well I just this this kind of stuff is interesting.

It seems theres contention about the date of the Tower of Babel and most scholars make it around being constructed between 3500–3000 BC.
Tower of Babel - Wikipedia

Its interesting because the Towel has much more detail then other buildings around that time which were more rudimentary and either 1 story or build into the ground. But around 3,000BC we begin to see higher and more elaborate structures leading to high pyramid type structures around 2,800BC.

Though I did find an article that claims the Tower of Jerico was 8,000 years old in the Neolithic period which throws a spanner in the works. Even so its similar to the structures built before the pyramids being low and rudimentary. Built mostly with small stones piled together without much architecture. Its after this period where bigger stones are used and structures become taller.

I don’t think so,Because Hams son Mizraim, the grandson of Noah was the first Egyptian ruler, plus the pyramids were built for pharaohs Menkaure(smallest one),Khafre(Medium sized one),and Khufu(largest out of the tree) as burial chambers out of respect and honor by the Egyptians. It is also worthy to note that the Ancient Egyptian empire was/is split into 2 kingdoms as well as 3 dynasties. The old dynasty lasted 500 years (2700 B.C.-2200B.C.),The middle dynasty (2050 B.C.-1800 B.C.),and The new dynasty (1550 B.C.-1100 B.C.) in the first century of the old dynasty the kingdom of Egypt was divided into two kingdoms, the lower kingdom and the upper kingdom. The kings of both wore different crowns.the north a white cone crown and the south a red cobra crown, when the two kingdoms merged in the 1st century of the old dynasty the first pharaoh Djet wore the United crown and it is often shown on Amun-Ra(the false Egyptian Supreme God of all the false Gods of the Egyptians). However I’m getting off topic, but anyway though the Egyptians founded their empire first before the Babylonians, they couldn’t have built the pyramids before the flood, because Egypt hadn’t been founded yet and thus didn’t exist yet, only small nomadic tribes throughout Africa,Asia, and the Middle East. After the flood,Egypt was founded as well as Babylon where the tower of Babylon was built. The Babylonians also built pyramids, hence when God and his angels came down and spread the people of Babylon about the world with their different languages they continued their architecture of pyramids throughout the world (MesoAmericans/Mayans and Southeast Asians/Burmese empire). However the crucial point here is the flood HAD to have come before the pyramids at Giza because Mizraim had to have founded Egypt.

But the prophecies of Jesus won't save you.

I never said they would - although the Ethiopian was reading Isaiah when Philip came along. I was answering the post which said that the OT is the history of the nation of Israel.
Jesus' ministry, death and resurrection are all foretold in the OT - as is Pentecost, justification by faith and the end of the world.

They were made of rock and would be around after a flood. It is possible Egypt came along after the flood and claimed them as their own. Isreal when they were in Egypt made things with bricks that lacked all the supplies needed to make lasting bricks.

I don't believe that Genesis says that God created only one large land mass at the beginning.
The Genesis account is not a science book and only speaks of a local location where Adam & Eve would live.

Based on real Science, a Local Flood is the only thing that really makes sense, Brother, Friend. YEC is a recent novelty history wise.

Anyone know why spell check does not work?

YEC model claims animals produced 12 tons of waste a day. Also, a world wide flood violates the well known rain cycle. Water evaporates one place and rains elsewhere. Thus, the water would never go down. There is a major problem with CO2. Without plants and trees to exchange gases to Oxygen. CO2 will effect breathing. Seeds would not survive under the pressure of water depth at the old "sea level".
I already pointed out The water pressure to tear up wood into toothpicks.

Genesis 1:9,10 is one piece of land surrounded by the sea
Genesis 1:10
HEB: אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ לַיַּבָּשָׁה֙ אֶ֔רֶץ וּלְמִקְוֵ֥ה הַמַּ֖יִם
NAS: the dry land earth, and the gathering
KJV: the dry [land] Earth; and the gathering together
INT: God the dry earth and the gathering of the waters

The word earth means simply dirt. I can see how one can read it as one land.
