What does it mean to forsake God?

It means not obeying him.

What does it mean to forsake God? It means not following Christ? Romans 5:8 says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. In other words, while we were ungodly, doing our own thing. Ephesians 2:8-9 says that for by grace are you saved through faith & that not of yourself, for it is a gift from God: not of works lest anyone should boast.

I honestly can't imagine why you feel I have such a tendency or why you think I actually turn threads into that. I'm clueless. I honestly do not know what you have been reading. Unless I am responding specifically to someone else I am very careful to remain on topic and I haven't belabored this subject lately.
