How are atheists meant to buy into this, when it's obvious that people of the same religion can't seem to agree on the basics of their own religion? My advice would be, get your stories straight, and come back to us with something that you all agree upon. And also, when you look at what I've said, can you please try to understand why I hold the views that I do, and don't take it as an attack.

There not saved, if they where they would truly fully understand all of the bible.

See? There is nothing to buy into, no exchanges you have to do

All you have to do is Believe in Jesus, nothing more, God does the rest, he teaches you, humbles you, sends the spirit to you, he opens your eyes. Its a free gift.

The bible is in fact full of symbolism and there are different interpretations and translations. If makes sense to talk about that and a different opinion should not be an insult. I'm not a Christian still it could be an intersting discussion

There is no symbolism, none, just visions not understood. If you lived back then and had to write what you saw in the future how would you write it? as you saw it in your own understanding of the times.

Sorry that some people don't represent the heart of Jesus as they should. The thing is that many mascarade religion as Christianity, but in reality they are as lost as many others (Pharisees).

I was an atheist myself. I had people try to convince me, but I wasn't understanding because I was trying to understand with my mind and the Kingdom of heaven is something that starts in your heart. I still remember when I told a person “I never asked Jesus to die for me”. He eventually dropped the revelation in my heart of how He left His glory in Heaven and the need for His sacrifice on earth; to make away for us to get back to the Father.

The best way I describe it to people is: The Kingdom of Heaven is like a birthday party that I went to. I then come to you and try to explain it to you, but no matter how much I try to explain it you wont be able to experience it unless you go to the birthday party yourself.

My favorite Bible verse is: Call on to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things you don't know. Jeremiah 33:3... but in Spanish I found a version that says... Call on to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you ignore.

When I read that word (Ignore) I asked Him to open my understanding and show me those things I ignore. I kept pressing in and I realized He has been talking to me since I was a little girl, but I was indeed ignoring Him.

"All you have to do is Believe in Jesus, nothing more", this is not altogether correct. Jesus says that sinners have to "REPENT and BELIEVE in the Gospel" (Mark 1:15); and that "REPENTANCE for the FORGIVENESS of sins" (Luke 24:47), are pre-requirements for all sinners to be saved. the devil the Bible says, "believes", but can never be saved, as he will never "REPENT".

There is no evidence from the Bible, that the "fire" of hell, as in "eternal punishment", is to be understood in the literal sense. This does not mean that there will be no "pain and suffering", as this Jesus Himself teaches that there will be, "wailing and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 8:12; 13:42, etc) in the after-life of the lost, who will be conscious all the time (Revelation 14:11)

When the last book of the Bible describes the flames of hell, it does not speak of consumption but says the lost “will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night” (Rev. 14:10–11).
